Pocatello, Idaho
Congratulations on this exciting new journey! I am a birth and postpartum doula in Pocatello, and serve the surrounding areas. My goal is to make you feel empowered in this time of your life. I want you to feel confident in your abilities and whatever choices you make surrounding birth. I believe that birth is a normal physiological process. It does not need to be a medical event, and is rarely an emergency. Our society has forgotten how to best educate and support families in this exciting time. Birth is meant to be intimate, but our current care system doesn’t treat it that way. I’ve felt a calling to be a birth and postpartum doula as a way to connect with generations of women before me. Birth is one of the most vulnerable experiences a woman will ever have. I am honored to be allowed into the inner circle while holding each mother as she is born and gives birth to new life. Becoming a mother is the single best thing that has ever happened to me. I also think it is the hardest thing I will ever do. I’ve been passionate about serving women in pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period since my first pregnancy. My husband and I have five children—four girls and one boy. We spent eight years in Utah raising our family before relocating to Pocatello in 2020. I grew up in Utah in the Salt Lake Valley where I received my Bachelors degree in English from the University of Utah. I am happy to schedule a consult with you to discuss your desires and how I may be able to serve you during this time.

As a doula and a mother of three precious girls, my journey into the world of birth support began with a deeply personal experience—the delivery of my first child. In that transformative moment, I discovered a profound passion for birth and a calling to empower mothers as they navigate the miraculous journey of bringing new life into the world. My mission is rooted in fostering connection and understanding during the birthing process, not only with the birthing mother but also with their partners. I believe in the power of compassionate support, education, and advocacy to ensure that every birthing experience is as empowering and fulfilling as possible. With each family I work with, my goal is clear: to provide unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement, helping couples to embrace this incredible journey with confidence and joy. Together, let's create a birthing experience that honors your choices, celebrates your strength, and welcomes your new little one into the world with love.

For all of history, up until the last century or two, birth was a uniquely feminine and sacred event supported by midwives, mothers, sisters, friends, and neighbors. Mothers were given the space, trust, and respect to intuitively birth their children, just as their bodies were designed to. In the 20th century, the modernization of birth care, intended to increase safety, unfortunately pushed labor support out the picture. Doctors became more concerned with outcomes alone than with the transformative experience of birth, itself. The emergence of doulas in the developed world was a desperate and necessary response to the all-too-common technocratic birthing model that has changed society’s entire view and practice of giving birth. The culture of non-medical labor support is thankfully not lost. Women deserve the same sanctity, respect, and space to do what their bodies know best now, as they did for all those centuries. I believe supporting the birth experience in its traditional light is my calling.
Meridian, Idaho
I strive to proved an inclusive birth experience for my clients no matter their circumstances because every body deserves a doula.
Caldwell, Idaho
My name is Holly Arroyo and I am a certified birth doula. I live in Caldwell, Idaho with my husband, three children, backyard chickens, and our three-legged cat. I have always had an interest in pregnancy and childbirth, but after having my own babies and birth experiences, it became something I felt passionate about and called to serve in. Having experienced three very different births myself (c-section, medical induction & fast, unmedicated birth) I've learned how having the right support, education, and preparation can make all the difference in your birth experience. I hope to bring a sense of peace and confidence to pregnant mamas and their families so that they can have the birth experience they desire to have. I provide compassionate, attentive care and support throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum- helping you navigate all that comes your way and to advocate for what is best for you and your baby. I will come alongside you and your family to provide education, resources, and emotional/physical/spiritual support. Whether a c-section is best for you, you desire a home birth, or your goal is to achieve a VBAC, I'm here for you!

I have connected with childbirth and pregnancy since I was a little girl. Birth was amazing to me and I knew that I wanted to be in the delivery room helping women. I was fortunate to learn about and find a doula for my first child. Having a doula was life changing, and the support and love I felt will never be forgotten. I loved her so much that I had her back with my second child. I am excited to be able to offer my services as a doula to other women.
