As an educator and birth doula my goal is to empower and educate my mommas so that they are fully informed and able advocate for themselves and take the fear out of birth. I have a special focus on postpartum and as a postpartum doula my goal is to heal our mommas. I am there to help, guide, talk and heal through any and all birth trauma or postpartum issues. Hello, My name is Sharina Jensen, and love my life in Idaho! I wear many hats in my life and love each one of them. I am married to my sweetheart and we have 3 beautiful children and 2 dogs! I have worked with supporting families and the unique challenges that a family can face with their children since I was 17. I have also had the opportunity to support couples through infertility to have a family since 2012. I believe that my desire to help build families and through becoming a mother my self has led me to Doula work. I took my training in February 2016 and haven’t looked back! There is so much beauty and excitement in pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. There is also the unexpected and I love being a support to a new family through it all. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor, (CLC) and am happy to support any lactation needs you may have.

I am happily married to my best friend, and we are blessed with three wonderful sons. My interest in birth and breastfeeding has always been a passion of mine. The birth of my first son was at the hospital and was a life-changing experience that ignited a fire within me. I knew then that I wanted to support families as they welcomed, nourished, and nurtured new life. I became a certified doula in January of 2021 and began attending births. Being welcomed into someone's birth space is an incredible honor. Witnessing the transformative and miraculous experience of birth is truly awe-inspiring. In 2022, we welcomed our second baby at home, and the night and day difference in my experiences solidified my dream of becoming a midwife. I am excited to learn and grow as a student midwife and to serve families. When I am not attending births, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, reading, and cooking.

Hi, everyone! My name is Jane, and along with my lifelong friend and business parent Jasmin, am so excited to be the Owner of Let Mommy Sleep of Idaho! Let Mommy Sleep has been supporting newborns and their families in Idaho since 2021. Our Certified Night Nannies and Registered Nurses (RN) provide overnight postpartum doula care, infant feeding support and safe sleep. We’re parents too, so we understand that early parenthood can be stressful and exhausting at times! From our night nurse services throughout Idaho, to virtual and in-home baby care classes, to care of twins and triplets, we’re here to support all newborns and their parents.

For all of history, up until the last century or two, birth was a uniquely feminine and sacred event supported by midwives, mothers, sisters, friends, and neighbors. Mothers were given the space, trust, and respect to intuitively birth their children, just as their bodies were designed to. In the 20th century, the modernization of birth care, intended to increase safety, unfortunately pushed labor support out the picture. Doctors became more concerned with outcomes alone than with the transformative experience of birth, itself. The emergence of doulas in the developed world was a desperate and necessary response to the all-too-common technocratic birthing model that has changed society’s entire view and practice of giving birth. The culture of non-medical labor support is thankfully not lost. Women deserve the same sanctity, respect, and space to do what their bodies know best now, as they did for all those centuries. I believe supporting the birth experience in its traditional light is my calling.
