Upon availability, you may hire the midwife to support you overnight during the postpartum period. Juli brings a wealth of experience with both singletons and multiples and can help families get a good night's sleep. She can also assist with feeding/nursing and newborn care skills. I gave birth to my first just a month after turning 17 and had the wonderful favor of a peaceful birth attendant who did more than rock my hips during labor, she strengthened my resolve and spoke to my body directly, encouraging through the rough parts and tuned my heart to find joy even in the pain.
