About me

Hello loves! I'm Ariel, a certified birth doula, herbal medic and birth photographer. I stumbled into the role of birth attendant in my early twenties by being the peace bringer and atmosphere regulator to all my girlfriends who were having babies. I gave birth to my first just a month after turning 17 and had the wonderful favor of a peaceful birth attendant who did more than rock my hips during labor, she strengthened my resolve and spoke to my body directly, encouraging through the rough parts and tuned my heart to find joy even in the pain. Ever since then I've found myself cultivating a knowledge set that would help women through the many trials of pregnancy, labor and post partum. This is more than a job for me, this is a calling. And every woman who has entered my care becomes a life long sister in birth.

Doula/ Photographer
All the benefits of being your doula & I'll snap some amazing photos for you. This package is a discounted Photography package because you first hired me as your doula. This package comes with less photos/videos than if you hired me solely as your birth photographer. However, you get all the benefits of me doting on you as your doula! This package is for those who maybe don't need/want a fully curated photo catalogue and video but do want some professional shots to remember labor and delivery. At the same time, you want my mama heart to envelope the atmosphere and work with you as we've decided is best for you and your birth. Whether that be hands on hip holding, massaging, praying and working you through labor positions and methods OR hands off sister who's trained to support you even without touching you.

There is something incredibly powerful about SEEING your birth. For so much of labor is done with our eyes closed. You'll be amazed at all the benefits photos and videos can have on your psyche after such a transformative experience. This is the package for you if you want someone who is intimately acquainted with the birthing room but who knows how to stay out of the way, in the background and can document the whole experience for you! And if you're the kind of person who knows the shots you want, AWESOME! I'm the gal that will go the lengths to get those shots for you! On call From the time you call me till a couple hours after birth I will be finding the best shots for you to look back on post partum. Professionally edited photos and videos can take anywhere from 2 weeks - 1 month because of the sheer amount of stock that's taken.
