Talya is a midwife, herbalist, and doula with 18 years of experience in birthwork. She is a wife and mother of 6 and is the owner of an intentionally small midwifery practice. The belief that birth is a normal physiological event and that babies are wise and know how to be born guides her practice. Talya believes when the mother is nurtured in body, mind, and spirit we see the best maternal, family, and societal outcomes. When she’s not at the feet of women giving birth or creating herbal teas and tinctures, you can find Talya in the mountains with her family or with her bare hands and feet in a patch of dirt trying to grow things. Welcome to Matriarch Midwifery!

Hi! I am Richelle Jolley and I have been assisting childbirth in the home as a Certified Professional Midwife for 21 years. With two decades of wonderful experiences welcoming babies into this world, I have developed specialties in twin pregnancy and birth, and in breech delivery. It is my joy to support each woman on her unique journey into motherhood. Pregnancy and childbirth are beautiful, divinely-designed processes that take a woman through a journey of searching, discovery, expansion and empowerment, culminating in the expression of all that she has now become as a mother. My sincere desire is to assist families in creating a beautiful, peaceful, faith-enhancing, and enriching birth for themselves and their babies.

I'm Jessica - a midwife, doula, mother, witness and space-holder passionate about caring for women and families throughout the adventure of pregnancy and birth. I feel that the name “Birth-Keeper” is more suited to the type of midwifery I strive to practice, as I strongly believe that babies are born how they are conceived: in peace, safety, and comfort. I focus on ‘keeping’ that safe space for you to deepen your awareness of the birthing process, and offer the information you need to make empowered choices throughout your care. My role as a midwife is to witness you, to exalt you, to comfort you, to support you, to revere you, to love you, and to uplift you in your own power. This is your body, your baby, your birth, your choice

I am a grateful wife and mother of seven children who helped introduce me to the world of giving birth. I have born them all naturally, some in the hospital and later in the homebirth setting. I have been a Nurse for over 40 years and have worked in the hospital in Labor & Delivery, Newborn Nursery and Postpartum care. I have also followed 'out-of-hospital' midwives since I was 25 years old. Recently I became a Certified Professional Midwife who specializes in out-of-hospital (OOH) birthing. We opened My Family Birth Center in Ogden, Utah to give women the opportunity to birth in their own way. We are the largest Birth Center in Utah and Nationally Accredited with the Commission of Accrediting Birth Centers (CABC). We are within 3 blocks of a Ogden Regional Medical Center. We've been open for 4 1/2 years and have helped over 250 couples. I believe in natural birth and know that it has helped many women to experience a quiet, normal, positive birth experience. In my spare time I enjoy bike riding, snowboarding and being with family.
