About me

Hello, I’m Lauren- a mother to two daughters and a holistic labor + traditional postpartum doula with an education focused on the Ayurvedic philosophy. I view pregnancy, birth, and the process of becoming a mother as not only a physical event; but a spiritual experience as well. In your most sacred spaces, I act as a gentle guide +space holder in pregnancy, labor, postpartum and beyond. Supporting mothers/families during their greatest transitions, and weaving in ritual+cereomy as a means to support and honor these initiations and grand transitions is a passion of mine. It is through my own difficult experiences with child birth and the Matrescence time, that I feel deeply called to give other mothers/families what I did not receive. It takes a village to raise a mother. None of us were meant to do this alone, nor should we have to!

I am beyond grateful to have crossed paths with Lauren. I can’t even imagine what my experience as a first time mom would have been like without her support. It was so helpful to have her wisdom and guidance as I navigated pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I didn’t even know about postpartum support until meeting Lauren. I thought Doulas just helped you through the birth and then sent you on your way. Lauren’s postpartum support included homemade herbal baths, homemade beautiful nourishing food, a handmade belly wrap, sound baths and energy work, helping with the new baby, and providing such caring and empathetic emotional support during the transition into motherhood. My pregnancy was filled with a lot of anxiety after experiencing loss and Lauren validated my emotions and held me through them. When my birth didn’t quite go as “perfectly planned” Lauren supported me in making the best decision for myself and my baby that felt empowered and autonomous. In the postpartum journey Lauren has continued to hold space for me to experience the duality of the emotions that show up as a new mom. My husband is great and all…. but Lauren was my real birth parter and main support in all the ways I needed and didn’t know I needed. The long story short is that you will be beyond blessed to add Lauren to your team through your pregnancy or postpartum journey. Lauren, I am forever grateful for you and the beauty and light you brought to our lives and to this massively transformative experience.

I cannot recommend Lauren enough. Words fall short in capturing my deep gratitude for her care in my pregnancy, labor and postpartum. I LOVED her sound bath she provided during my pregnancy, in the comfort of my home, my dogs really enjoyed it too. It was very special. Her presence is so calming and gentle, exactly what you need during labor. Being a first time mom I was so scared of the unknown. Lauren supported me in the best ways and helped my husband when he was unsure how to support me. I had the best labor and delivery experience and she was such an amazing advocate during my hospital stay. I was not in a frame of mind to respond when my midwife was telling me they use Pitocin after delivery and she advocated that I did not want pitocin unless it was an emergency. I didn’t receive cytotec or pitocin thanks to her. She drew the most relaxing bath when I was transition. And her postpartum support is outstanding. I had so many concerns and doubts about my breastfeeding journey and she offered so many kind words of encouragement. I loved her belly wraps, and she came to my house 3 or 4 times to help show me how to do it. I hope she is with me at all of my future deliveries 🤍

I cannot say enough to express how much we love Lauren. She is so knowledgeable, attentive, personable, and everything you would hope your doula would be. She was so present and helped us through the most incredible 12 hours of our lives. She guided me through each contraction while simultaneously supporting my husband until our beautiful daughter was born. I had an unexpected retained placenta and had to be transported from a birth center to the hospital. Lauren went above and beyond her duties and accompanied me and helped me greatly in the hospital. She even stayed through my surgery and post op to keep me company. She was a constant source of comfort and I cannot thank her enough. We consider Lauren the most loving person we know and are so grateful and appreciative that she was apart of our birth story. Post birth, she also checked in multiple times and visited us. She is just the best!

Lauren supported me through the birth and postpartum of my two daughters. I couldn't have done it without her. Her gentle, loving spirit just feels like home. With my first daughter her help at home once she was born with bringing me meals, preparing healing herbal baths, lending a listening ear, or just holding my baby while I slept, it was all so helpful! With my second daughter the second Lauren walked into the birth room when I was in labor, I felt instantly more calm and at peace. She just radiates the most healing peaceful energy. Whether you hire her for your birth doula or postpartum or both, it will be the best decision you could make for yourself, your family and your baby! She was meant to do this work. She is a blessing for all mothers and has become a dear friend to me along the way.

Lauren is the most magical doula and support during pregnancy, labor and postpartum! She helped deliver my first baby and that’s when I learned she offered other services. For my second baby I knew I wanted her for the whole journey! The price is honestly worth every penny especially for post care when she brings you a home sewn belly band, homemade food, tea, and literally feeds you in bed! But beyond all the extra bells and whistles (which are so phenomenal and I wish every mom could experience) is Lauren’s calming energy and assurance she brings in every situation. Could be in the deepest throws of labor during peak contraction pain or just laying in bed postpartum weeks later having an emotional break she is always there with the calmest love and support. Honestly the person you want by your side through some of life’s hardest experiences. WE LOVE YOU! And could not have navigated all that comes with tough pregnancy, painful labor and complex after care without you! Xoxo

We had Lauren’s support for our first and second birth and we are so grateful to have had her apart of our family’s journey. We live out of state and had her as a resource during the pregnancy’s while making decisions on how we wanted to labor and deliver. After the birth’s Lauren supported us with postpartum care and support-we were able to have her come out and be with us the first week home and it was such a gift. Postpartum care wasn’t on my radar initially but 100% is something I think made my recoveries easier, I learned so much about myself and my body from Lauren and it was such a sacred gift she gave to me and ultimately the entire family. Lauren’s ability to hold space and come up with solutions, alternatives is unmatched with other birthworkers I’ve been around and I’m grateful to still see her as a resource and ally in motherhood. Lauren is a gift.

Lauren is an incredible doula and guide through the entire process of becoming a mother. Her support during pregnancy helped me work through blockages and fully prepare (as much as one can) for birth. She also provided me with some incredible sound & reiki healing sessions that helped my body and mind relax as birth was approaching. Her calming presence and innate desire to help women are invaluable skills for her craft. Lauren was present during labor, birth, and the critical hours following, offering gentle, loving support throughout. She was able to make suggestions to my partner on how he might be able to support me in those moments as well. During the postpartum days and weeks, Lauren provided nourishing food, taught me how to bind my belly, and most importantly, held space for me. I give her my highest recommendation and consider her a dear friend after these amazing experiences.

I can't recommend Lauren enough! She provided my family with incredible postpartum care and was a crucial part of my healing process. Lauren is so thoughtful, friendly, and caring. I breathed a sigh of relief each time she came over and she was always able to adapt to my needs in the moment. She takes her work seriously and it's clear she loves what she does. I will forever be grateful to have met Lauren. She is such a skilled caregiver and was an important person in those early postpartum days.
