Peace and blessings! My name is Xiomara, I am a mother of a beautiful girl. I am from the very small town of Pemberton, located in Southern New Jersey. I take pride and I am inspired by my (Afro Caribbean-Latina) Panamanian roots and culture. I believe in holistic and wholistic healing and practices, and the balance between the two. I am certified full spectrum doula, (through Doula Trainings International), Reiki Master, and Placenta Encapsulator. I became a doula because of my own birthing experience, which led me to my passion for birth-work. Helping families by educating, advocating, and providing a safe space for a meaningful and purposeful birth. No birth is the same, no pregnancy is the same. However, by providing a safe space, and exceptional services, we can shift the narrative so that more families are aware of birth-workers within and outside of the healthcare system, with a focus on culturally competent care. Our mission at The Purple Purpose LLC is to inspire our clients to become the highest most confident versions of themselves, while embracing their journey, from the beginning until the end. We aim to bring forth a new way to assist families in maintaining their health and wellness, before, during, and after birth. We want to bring a deeper level of holistic and wholistic practice that will allow personal and professional growth, but most importantly, a safe, successful, and purposeful birth .

As a Certified Labor Doula working in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area since 2020, I offer personalized birthing, lactation, and postpartum support as well as childbirth & postpartum education. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about pregnancy, delivery, feeding, and parenting. I am inspired by women's strength and the miracle of birth. This inspiration is why I became a Certified Labor Doula through Maternity Wise and am proud to serve women and families throughout South Western Pennsylvania. I first became interested in becoming a doula in 2017 when I became inspired by a supportive doula I hired for my second and third pregnancies. I was later encouraged to become a doula by a close friend, who then was the first mother I could serve as an educator and doula. I have three little boys of my own, and have had a hospital OBGYN, midwife center, and homebirth experience. I know what it is like to give birth and navigate both within and outside the industrial birth complex. I have personal experience with low-risk and high-risk pregnancies and what it is like to be concerned about the unknowns on the other side of delivery. In addition, I have experienced the benefits and relief of having a doula present to guide me through the portal of birth into the role of motherhood. Every woman deserves to have someone there to guide and assist them in making educated choices about their pregnancy, delivery, and parenting. It is good to have someone to remind them that they can persevere during this time of newness. I'm here to provide evidence-based education, and emotional, physical, and personalized support, along with advocacy for your rights. Mothers and couples who work with me will find I highly value their maintained autonomy, including mother-led labor and delivery. I recognize birth as a non-medical event that occasionally needs medical attention. High-risk pregnancies need significantly more care than healthy pregnancies- but that high-risk model of care should not be used to care for all expectant mothers. In this vein, I acknowledge that women do not need to be empowered to give birth well or ecstatically. Instead, their autonomy, human rights, and dignity must be protected and remain intact. Under these aforementioned parameters, birth will naturally lead toward positive and non-traumatic perspectives of its' outcome. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, as a Christian, I am confident there is much truth to be ascertained in the metaphor of birth used throughout the Bible.

I am honored to share this space with you as a doula, supporting women through hormonal health, fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. My passion for menstrual health began over a decade ago during my senior year of nursing school. I pushed my body to its limits with early mornings, long days, and too much coffee, until symptoms like deep cystic acne and debilitating cramps forced me to listen. I sought out a practitioner who helped me understand my body and its messages, empowering me to heal myself. I went on to study plant medicine, the nervous system, and energy work, earning a master’s in clinical herbalism. In 2021, I moved to a cottage, creating medicinal gardens and deepening my connection with the natural world. The garden taught me how the body mirrors the larger cycles of life, and I now work intuitively with plants, creating teas for the women I support. That same year, I started a relationship that further refined my understanding of emotions and cyclical health. Today, I’m passionate about helping women reconnect with their body’s wisdom to heal themselves, the land, and their relationships. All my love, Kellie

Hi! I'm Gabriella, and I’m passionate about supporting women and families through their fertility, pregnancy, labor, and motherhood journeys. My path to becoming a doula began in 2014 after my own empowering birth experience with my first child. Inspired, I became a certified childbirth educator through the Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth and discovered my deep passion for women’s health and well-being. Over the years, I’ve been privileged to support families in various ways—whether teaching childbirth education, offering lactation consulting, or even serving as a virtual doula in moments of need. My own birth experiences have shaped my practice. From a beautiful birth center delivery to navigating an unexpected emergency C-section, and finally achieving my VBAC home birth, I bring a wealth of personal and professional insight to my work. These experiences have fueled my commitment to empowering families with knowledge, confidence, and holistic care. At the end of 2023, I made the decision to leave my corporate career to pursue my dream full-time. I am currently trained through DONA International, a globally respected organization, and offer compassionate, intuitive support focused on mental, physical, and nutritional health. My approach is holistic and tailored to each family’s unique needs, ensuring that partners feel confident and supported throughout the journey. I am so excited to walk alongside you and help you achieve the birth experience you desire. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or your fourth, I look forward to being part of your story!
