Service introduction

Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a Birth Arts International certified Postpartum Doula in Pennsburg. I am here to support you after birth so you can rest, bond with baby, and be educated on what to expect in the postpartum. Postpartum is a time for Moms to rest and heal from childbirth. I will take on the daily household chores, snack and meal preparation, laundry, and more so you can rest with baby! I also provide Moms with emotional support as you experience the normal ups and downs due to hormonal changes after giving birth. I listen without judgement and provide advice and encouragement when needed. I will help you process your birth story, provide emotional and mental health support, and always show empathy, understanding, and companionship - you are not alone in this! Whether you choose to breastfeed or bottle feed, I will support and encourage you during those first few weeks with baby. Breastfeeding may be natural, but it can be challenging in the beginning. I offer breastfeeding advice and support with nursing positions, proper latch, tips, and resources throughout your breastfeeding journey

Postpartum Mother's Helper
A Postpartum Mother’s Helper is a mix between a Postpartum Doula and a Nanny. This support is perfect for Mamas expecting their second, third, or fourth baby. Support is less than a Postpartum Doula in some areas, since seasoned Mamas are experienced with newborn care, nursing, and what to expect in the postpartum. This support includes a heavy emphasis on providing fun, educational care for older children while keeping up with household chores. My educational background and experience as a Nanny is what makes this support so special and helpful to Mamas with a newborn and older children at home. Support includes: *Household chores (vacuuming, dishes, laundry for the family including washing bedsheets weekly, decluttering and wiping down counters, tidying up common areas, etc.) *Simple meal and snack preparation for Mom and children *Caring for older children, providing educational and hands-on childcare, so Mom can rest with baby *Caring for baby, so Mom can shower, sleep, and spend quality time with older children *Pet care *Baby wearing support and advice I offer packages and payment plans to ensure you and baby get the most support possible. Daytime support is 9am-2pm For clients beyond a 30 minutes radius, support is $40/hr

Amanda was an angel during my postpartum. She listened to what I needed, is respectful, friendly and warm. She made me feel seen and special during a difficult time. She even made meals so we didn’t have to stress about dinner for a few nights. Highly recommend her services!
