She didn't have any support and needed someone to advocate her needs, help her express her fears and to walk her through a new birth. Hey y’all, I am Tabitha your Louisiana doula. I am a mom of 4 wild, wacky and wonderful kids. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula and training to become a placenta encapsulation specialist. Growing up I wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse. When I became an adult I realized the medical field was not for me. I worked at a daycare in the infant room for 2 years. After that I worked as a chiropractic assistant for 2 years. My favorite part of the job was working with pregnant women and infants. It wasn’t until after I was done having babies that I discovered just what a doula does. I was immediately convinced that I found my calling. I have always loved all things birth and motherhood. I received my Doula Certification in March of 2022 and became the first Doula in the Southeast OK area. Being your Birth Doula would be my deepest honor to help guide you in your journey to motherhood. My name is Undria, but all my life I’ve been called Angel, and I truly try to live up to that name. As a doula I have, and will help my parents with any questions they may have before birth, and after. No question is off limits, so I want them to feel comfortable to speak on anything that is causing an issue of doubt for them. I’m a breastfeeding educator, so I can also help parents get a good latch after baby is born, and I’m a true supporter of getting baby to latch within the first hour after they are born. I am also available to help the partner who hasn’t given birth feel comfortable with supporting their partner on this journey so that both can be leaning post for each other.

I have had a passion for the birth world for nearly a decade. It began in college when I worked as an Emergency Room Technician at a small town hospital. Although it was rare, we would occasionally have moms come in while in labor and I LOVED the excitement and thrill of the possibility of being a helping hand with a birth. This along with having midwifery care during my own pregnancies and births, eventually led me to began studying midwifery in 2018. During midwifery clinicals I was able to assist in many home and birth center births. I had the utter joy of helping mamas feel safe & comfortable, empowered to give birth in the way they desired, overcome obstacles, and see new life come into the world! I am currently taking time off from my midwifery training to focus on caring for and homeschooling my three precious daughters. This time off also allows me to venture into the doula world!
