Hey y’all, I am Tabitha your Louisiana doula. I am a mom of 4 wild, wacky and wonderful kids. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula and training to become a placenta encapsulation specialist. Growing up I wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse. When I became an adult I realized the medical field was not for me. I worked at a daycare in the infant room for 2 years. After that I worked as a chiropractic assistant for 2 years. My favorite part of the job was working with pregnant women and infants. It wasn’t until after I was done having babies that I discovered just what a doula does. I was immediately convinced that I found my calling. I have always loved all things birth and motherhood. As a Doula I have the privilege of witnessing the miracle of life unfold before my eyes. I’m constantly awe of the strength and resilience of the women I support, and I feel honored to be part of their journey into motherhood. There is nothing quite like the feeling of helping a woman feel empowered and confident as she brings her baby into the world. Whether it’s providing physical comfort measures, emotional reassurance, or informational support, I love being able to make a positive impact on someone’s birth experience. From the moment I meet a client I am dedicated to helping her achieve the birth she deserves. I love watching the bond between a mother and her partner grow stronger as they prepare to meet their baby, and in the midst of the chaos and beauty of labor, I am constantly inspired by the courage and determination of the women I support. Being a Doula is not just a job it’s a calling it’s a chance to make a real difference in someone’s life and to be a part of a moment that will be etched in their memory forever I feel grateful and I’m humbled every time I get to be a part of this journey, and I can’t Imagine a more rewarding career.
