Hello friends!! I wanted to properly introduce myself. My name is Kendall Francis. I am a christian certified birth doula. I serve mama’s in the Fort Mill and Charlotte surrounding areas during pregnancy and postpartum. I am married to my best friend, Collin Francis and we just had the most perfect baby girl, Saylor Grace Francis, born at home on July 31st, 2022. Our hearts are so full! I became a doula because I am so passionate about everything pregnancy and birth but most importantly because I believe women and their families need such a strong support system during this season in their life. I worked in the hospital system for almost 4 years on several different units from ER to maternity, went to nursing school and got my LPN degree all to realize I wanted nothing more than to support women holistically. I have given birth three times and though each birth experience was vastly different, they have something in common – I will never forget them. I would love for every woman to have a special and meaningful childbirth experience. My experiences many years ago first led me to lactation peer counseling and postpartum support. My passion to serve and empower women led to becoming a birth doula, and eventually a midwife. I am certified through the North American Registry of Midwives as a Certified Professional Midwife and hold a Midwifery Bridge Certificate. I am also licensed as a midwife in the state of South Carolina. I believe birth is a natural, hormonally driven process from the onset of labor through birth of the baby and placenta, as well as the establishment of breastfeeding and the development of mother-baby attachment. To support the natural birth process, women need informational, emotional, and physical support, as well as minimal external interference.

Hi, I’m Julie. I’m so glad you’re here! My passion for birth and motherhood started at a young age. All I ever wanted to be was a mom. After I had my fifth baby I felt sad realizing that this part of my life was over. I soon discovered that my calling to serve mamas as a birth doula however was just beginning. My hubby has been there beside me through it all as our children have been born naturally in both hospital and home settings. I use that firsthand knowledge now to serve you with not just my rigorous training and certification through Birth Arts International, but also through my own personal experience. I was introduced to essential oils in 2014, and every day since then has been a family journey to more natural patterns of health and wellness. I have seen and experienced success time after time using the oils throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and with a newborn. Hi, I'm Elizabeth! Being a mother myself to my two sweet boys, I have experienced the joys, pains, and fears that can come with pregnancy and birth. I can say without a doubt, though, because of my training and the doula support I had through both, it made them both joyful and peaceful experiences for me, even though they both looked completely different; one was a home birth and the other a hospital birth! I hope to provide my clients with the tools and support they need to be able to have that same experience. I chose doula work because I am passionate about helping women in such a transformative time in their lives. Kyliah is a trained Doula and Social Worker in the Twin Cities. She is currently an Elementary School Social Worker in North St. Paul. Although originally from the Chicagoland area, Kyliah has lived in different parts of the Midwest including St. Louis, MO and Duluth, MN. She is trained clinically as a Social Worker and brings all of her skills of advocacy, empathy, relationship-building, client focused care, and empowerment to her role as a Doula. Having worked in so many communities here in the Twin Cities and with survivors of violence while in St. Louis, Kyliah recognizes the importance of upholding one’s individual story and experience no matter where their journey has taken them. She came to birthwork recognizing the significant disparities in care for Black and Brown birthing families and wanting to provide care that is accessible and acknowledges history and culture. As a Doula, Kyliah is trained in Perinatal Mental Health, Hypnobirthing, Grief and Reproductive Loss, and currently finishing a training on supporting body mechanics in pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Kyliah prioritizes ensuring that the families she supports feel safe not only physically, but emotionally as well as during their birthing times and beyond. She is trained and immersed in providing trauma sensitive care, child development, and mental wellness and believes it is ESSENTIAL to provide cultural conscious and congruent care that values and uplifts identity and experience.
