Hi! I'm Kaitlyn. I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula and a Rhode Island Certified Perinatal Doula experienced in working with those choosing to have a home birth or water birth, those walking through birth anxiety, and those needing strong human rights advocacy in the hospital setting. I utilize evidence-based childbirth education to teach, Spinning Babies techniques to physically support, trauma-informed care to emotionally support, and Birth Monopoly training to encourage advocacy with my clients. I take an overall holistic and natural-minded approach to care. I work with my clients throughout their pregnancy, continuously through labor and birth, and for a few weeks postpartum in the hospital, at home, and in birth centers. I also offer supportive care during the postpartum period with physical and emotional support for mother's, newborn care, cooking, light cleaning, and more. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and prior to becoming a Birth Doula, I spent a decade professionally teaching. My career has been spent educating and caring for children and their families, which has proven to be extremely beneficial to my birth work. It’s my desire to continue supporting and loving families as they engage in the most important moments of their lives. I birthed both of my children at home and I have a deep love and respect for home births. Through my own pregnancy and birth experiences, I found that having proper support from people you truly trust and feel safe with is absolutely essential for a satisfying birth experience. As a birth + postpartum doula, childbirth educator, infant-feeding + lactation specialist, and IBCLC in training, Andreina has served the growing families of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey since 2014. Her passion for birth work, expectant families, and newborns has been prevalent since she was a child- watching television series like TLC’s A Baby Story, which chronicled different birthing experiences throughout the United States. It was this initial peek into the sphere of birth in America that made Andreina aware of the disconnection that society had to an event so preternatural and fundamentally inherent such as birth. In her pursuit of restoring the sense of confidence and capacity in all birthing people, Andreina trained under renowned DONA International Doula trainer Rina Rios, and was subsequently selected to join the year-long Manhattan Birth training and mentorship program, led by doula turned home birth midwife, Tanya Wills CNM. Learning under these knowledgeable and influential women, Andreina gained invaluable knowledge that complemented her natural passion and innate skills in supporting expecting and newly postpartum individuals. Such skills and passion were further honed during Andreina’s own 72 hour home birth experience where she and her husband welcomed their son in 2022. With a bachelor of science from Iona University and five years of experience as a skilled pediatric phlebotomist, Andreina’s approach to childbirth, lactation, and postpartum melds the best of western medicine with the best of tried and true holistic care for all of her clients.

Labor and delivery nurse and Lactation Consultant offering Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Classes online! Classes are mostly self-paced with online learning modules that can be done on your own time. Meetings are then held once per week for either four (accelerated class) or six (regular pace) weeks.
