Hi! I'm Kaitlyn. I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula and a Rhode Island Certified Perinatal Doula experienced in working with those choosing to have a home birth or water birth, those walking through birth anxiety, and those needing strong human rights advocacy in the hospital setting. I utilize evidence-based childbirth education to teach, Spinning Babies techniques to physically support, trauma-informed care to emotionally support, and Birth Monopoly training to encourage advocacy with my clients. I take an overall holistic and natural-minded approach to care. I work with my clients throughout their pregnancy, continuously through labor and birth, and for a few weeks postpartum in the hospital, at home, and in birth centers. I also offer supportive care during the postpartum period with physical and emotional support for mother's, newborn care, cooking, light cleaning, and more. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and prior to becoming a Birth Doula, I spent a decade professionally teaching. My career has been spent educating and caring for children and their families, which has proven to be extremely beneficial to my birth work. It’s my desire to continue supporting and loving families as they engage in the most important moments of their lives. I birthed both of my children at home and I have a deep love and respect for home births. Through my own pregnancy and birth experiences, I found that having proper support from people you truly trust and feel safe with is absolutely essential for a satisfying birth experience. I'm eager to support you, educate you, reassure you, and help you advocate for everything you want your birth to be. It's my goal to ensure you always feel safe, heard, loved, respected, and empowered throughout your journey.

My passion for supporting, educating, and empowering women giving birth stems from my desire to combat the maternal and infant health crisis that disproportionately impacts the birth experiences and outcomes of Black women. It is my goal to help all birthing people: learn to trust in their bodies; learn to trust themselves to make informed decisions about and advocate for the birth experience they desire; and, have culturally appropriate and non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth.

Greetings! I'm Chelsea – a dedicated wife, stay-at-home parent of two, certified birth and postpartum doula, and babywearing educator based in Connecticut. With over two decades of experience working with children and families, my journey includes a master's degree in education and 11 years of teaching music to students from PreK through grade 12. My path to becoming a doula was inspired by the isolating and challenging nature of the postpartum months. Having navigated this journey myself, I realized the importance of support during this transformative period. I aim to alleviate the isolation many face by offering guidance and understanding. Having been the first in my friend group to experience parenthood, I understand the complexities and uncertainties. My role is to provide a compass, steering you away from the confusing and sometimes overwhelming information available online. Join me in creating a supportive community, where I offer education, solidarity, empowerment, strength, and empathy to ease your transition into parenthood

Welcome families! My name is Katherine, and I am a new birth doula serving all of Connecticut, as well as southern Massachusetts. Whether it's through massage techniques, changes in position, breathing strategies, or something as small as lighting candles, I strive to make the birthing experience as calming as possible. As a birth + postpartum doula, childbirth educator, infant-feeding + lactation specialist, and IBCLC in training, Andreina has served the growing families of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey since 2014. Her passion for birth work, expectant families, and newborns has been prevalent since she was a child- watching television series like TLC’s A Baby Story, which chronicled different birthing experiences throughout the United States. It was this initial peek into the sphere of birth in America that made Andreina aware of the disconnection that society had to an event so preternatural and fundamentally inherent such as birth. In her pursuit of restoring the sense of confidence and capacity in all birthing people, Andreina trained under renowned DONA International Doula trainer Rina Rios, and was subsequently selected to join the year-long Manhattan Birth training and mentorship program, led by doula turned home birth midwife, Tanya Wills CNM. Learning under these knowledgeable and influential women, Andreina gained invaluable knowledge that complemented her natural passion and innate skills in supporting expecting and newly postpartum individuals. Such skills and passion were further honed during Andreina’s own 72 hour home birth experience where she and her husband welcomed their son in 2022. With a bachelor of science from Iona University and five years of experience as a skilled pediatric phlebotomist, Andreina’s approach to childbirth, lactation, and postpartum melds the best of western medicine with the best of tried and true holistic care for all of her clients.

I had been a stay at home mother since the birth of my first son in 1995. Since then I had three more babies and loved being pregnant and giving birth. Every aspect of motherhood comes very natural to me and being a stay at home Mom had been the perfect fit. I live in Bethany, CT with my husband and children. As my children had grown and became more self-sufficient I realized that my energy and enthusiasm needed to be put to good use. I discovered doula services and the more I learned the more I realized that this was the perfect fit for me! I started my journey to become a doula in 2012. During that time I have become completely immersed in my work and continuing education. I have met so many wonderful people and to date I have participated in hundreds of amazing births. How lucky am I to get to experience the miracle of birth over and over again! Being pregnant, experiencing labor and birth are not medical conditions. I believe women should have a voice in how they would like to labor and birth their babies. I offer open minded and enthusiastic support for Parents to be. Whether you are planning a medicated birth, a C-section, VBAC or would like an unmedicated birth, I am there for you. As your birth doula I will help you achieve a calm and gentle birth. I will provide continuous emotional, physical and informational support. I will gently remind you of your birth plan. In labor it is easy to lose focus. I will help you with visualization and to stay as calm and relaxed as possible in between surges. I will provide comfort measures during surges. After the birth I will help you with skin-to-skin and baby self-latching if you plan on breastfeeding. I am trained in Childbirth Education, Spinning Babies and Evidence Based Birth. I also have a lot of experience with clients using Hypnobirthing techniques. I am looking forward to helping you achieve your dream birth.
