I hardly ever hold babies because they are in the safest place in the world, their mother’s arms. I always hold the mother though because just like her baby, she was just born too.

As 5th of 12 children I have been surrounded by birth my whole life. After doing a 2 day birth crash course I was struck to my core by the beauty of birth and realized my call to this sacred work. I went on to take an intensive birth doula/midwifery intro course that has honed my passion and given me the tools to be a competent birth companion. I’m a work from home mom and I had my first baby in June of 2023! My husband and I have been married since 2022 and we’ve grown up in Kansas City our whole life. I’ve been passionate about birth since I saw my mother birth her last two children about 10 years ago and noticed how much women need advocates and support during pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum! Since then, I’ve been trained as a doula through GEM (Global Education of the Midwife) and have been pursuing a postpartum doula course as well. I hope to provide my clients with all the information necessary to empower them to make informed decisions about their birth plan/goals. If a client is open to it, I also love my Christian faith and try to implement that in areas of my work as well.
