My experience started in 1997 as a Mother-Baby nurse where I began working with families who were also learning to feed their babies. I knew I wanted to become a lactation consultant after repeatedly watching parents in tears and feeling defeated as they struggled with feeding their infants regardless of their age, education level, or race. I pursued that education and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2005. I breastfed my four children, but not without my own hiccups! Even though I had some experience and knowledge, each baby was doing it for the first time, and we had to learn how to do it together!

She has been working with breastfeeding families for 10 years, and her experience includes working in a NICU environment, pediatric office, outpatient clinic and in-home setting.
