Have you ever visited a foreign country where the primary language was different from your own? On a trip to Europe my family was privileged to take in 2016. I sure learned the value of a native tour guide on that tour when our family got separated from the group. A doula has training and experience in labor and birth, is prepared to act as a support person for you and your primary partner through the transition to parenthood, and will serve you both as an experienced tour guide would if you decided to visit a foreign country. What does it mean to have me as your doula? It means you have had the opportunity to prepare for your birth by asking questions, receiving solid resources to address those questions and practicing comfort measures. It means you have someone who knows you and your partner and is dedicated to being with you for your labor and birth. It means that you have people by your side for birth who fully understand your preferences because we’re going to be sure we are on the same page before your labor begins.

I have a passion for community assistance ever since I have knowledge. I remember as a little girl helped the elders after school at only 9 years old. As years passed me passion for helping our community grew stronger. So I began my journey in the medical field as a RMA in the OB GYN specialty. I still felt that I can do more for my community and one day in bible study a lady I met called herself a Doula and I asked what is a doula and once she explained to me what a Doula is I immediately looked into it and it was an instant match for me. I was already working with moms and babies but being even more close to my clients and the community was an extraordinary feeling of accomplishment. I got certify as a Doula Business Owner, Lactation consultant, Birth Doula, Holistic nutrition, placenta encapsulation specialist all to be an all in one package for my clients. I strongly believe that it lessens the stress when a doula can carry multiple specialties needed to avoid referring and the client to be seeing multiple appointments in a day. Daisy grew up in a small town in Alaska with her 6 siblings. She has always had a huge interest in pregnancy and birth, as she attended many of her aunts midwife prenatal visits and even one of her births at a young age. In January 2019, Daisy decided to move forward in pursuing a job in the birth worker world. She discovered what a birth doula was and soon found a certification program in Nashville TN that offered everything she was wanting. She was working in the Army as a military police at the same time as she was doing her certification, so the process took a little longer than expected but it allowed her to truly educate herself and work towards this new lifestyle for herself. When not doing birth work, Daisy enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and his three children. They do many outdoor activities to include; water parks, camping, fishing, and swimming.
