My goal is to bridge the gaps in maternal care prenatally, in labor, and postpartum. There is a huge gap in resources and support for woman in the northwest Iowa area and I want to be a part of the change to bridge the gap. My business Northwest Iowa Birth Nurse employs 2 birth doulas and a lactation consultant who is also a certified placenta encapsulator. We offer childbirth education classes in a group setting as well as one on one in person or virtually, birth doula services, lactation education and hands on support, and placenta encapsulation. We want to serve the woman and families of Northwest Iowa and beyond and would love to be a part of your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum story.

Birth is a beautiful, natural process, but it often seems overwhelming and scary for new parents. As you develop your preferences, I'll assist in the formation of a birth plan that we will use to advocate for your wishes. During birth, I offer emotional and physical support, help with non-pharmacological pain management, act as a birth coach, and advocate for your values in medical situations. With my extensive background in healthcare, I am able to interpret situations and jargon, so that you can understand factors involved and make truly informed decisions for your best birth experience . I have experience in home- and hospital-based birth environments , vaginal and cesarean, low- and high-risk situations. I'm ready to support YOU and your unique wishes as you navigate your childbearing year.
