After having an established and successful business as a sleep consultant for years, I decided to add postpartum doula services to better serve my community with hands-on and attentive care. My joy is to see parents embrace their own parenting and baby care philosophy and confidently step into their role as Mothers and Fathers. I am passionate about evidence-based newborn and family care and love to share ways to turn your days and nights of surviving to thriving.

Inspired by my own reproductive journey, I feel called to do birth work in this phase of my life. I have the most wonderful five year old daughter and being her Mom is absolutely the best part of my life, however my journey to her did not come without its challenges. From struggling with pregnancy loss, to a pregnancy that required me to be on full bed rest for my entire third trimester, and ultimately delivering via c-section. I am well versed in needing supportive around the clock care. And most importantly I count that care as one of my biggest blessings. I believe that care is what allowed me to bring a beautiful baby to this world safely and transition to motherhood with confidence.

The wellness center was founded by Cheryl Edinbyrd, PhD, LPC, LCDC, CYT, LMT, Health & Fitness Coach and Licensed Midwife. Dr. Edinbyrd has been counseling individuals, couples and families since 2010 and providing midwifery care since 2017. During this time, she has collaborated with other therapists, healthcare providers and treatment facilities to understand the needs within the community. She has also obtained certification as a yoga, massage therapist as well as a health and fitness coach to include more of a holistic approach to working with clients.

Hello my name is Melanie Powell and I am so excited to serve your family during your child birth and postpartum period. I am passionate about the growth of babies and feel that every family should have support throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. When I had my daughter I didn't even know what support I would need or how to ask for help. After a traumatic birth filled with interventions and 1 week of labor and an failed breastfeeding journey I tried to resolve so many issues between my husband and I. After 6 weeks constantly being told I was a failure as a mother and being invalidated I was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital and started on medication and therapy. Based on my experiences I want to educate, empower, and advocate for women and their families through the whole experience. When I am not working I enjoy volunteering at my church, spending time with my daughter, hanging out with friends, cooking, baking, and crafting. I hope to be able to incorporate these skills into my practice. I look forward to meeting you and I hope that I am a good fit for your family.

I am a new Doula and have completed a Dona approved Doula training. My work background is mostly rooted in hospitality, customer service and yoga. I have always had a passion for caring for others and creating a fulfilling experience. A Dallas native, Madison was inspired to be a doula as far back as elementary school when she and her older sister watched TLC’s A Baby Story in the early 2000s. Madison completed DONA International Training March 2020. Since 2020, Madison has assisted mothers through VBACs, C-Sections, vaginal births with and without epidurals, home births, birthing center births and hospital births. Hello everyone, my name is Trisha. I live in Fort Worth, TX and I serve Fort Worth and Dallas. I recently moved here from New Jersey with my husband, 5 kids, cat and dog and I love it here! I have always wanted to be in birthwork, since I had my first child at 18, but never knew where I would fit in. A few years ago I learned what a doula was and knew that that was where I belong. I love all things pregnancy and childbirth and love to learn more about it. I have worked in restaurants my whole life so I am very good at multi tasking and thinking on my feet and solving problems. I am a newer doula, however I have been helping friends, co workers and family forever with childbirth. I love to be there to help during the most amazing time of everyone's lives and know what a privilege it is to be involved in such a emotional and private time. In my free time I love exploring my new home with my kids and finding new places to see! Family is everything so I love to spend all free time with them.
