I have been a nurse for 16 years, an IBCLC for over 7 years. I have three children, 10,10,9. (Twins). After becoming a mother myself and truly experiencing the hardships, I knew my mission was to be there for these moms during the toughest phase of life. And my goal isn’t to make sure they breastfeed. While I do want them to meet their goals, I will never pressure a mom to only breastfeed. Everyone’s journey is different, and my job is to educate and support these families, however that may look. I want to be a resource for them to grow and thrive as a parent. Hope became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2017, completed her PhD in nutritional biochemistry in May 2018, and became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in September 2020. In addition to owning and operating Hope Feeds Families, Hope is employed full time at Winthrop University in the Department of Human Nutrition running a research lab that focuses on helping mothers to reach their infant feeding goals, improving access to human milk, and analyzing the nutritional content of human milk. As an IBCLC, Hope has a passion for connecting with mothers to help them to reach their individual feeding goals and advocacy for maternal health. As an RDN, Hope loves to support parents in feeding their children, whether that is traditional solids, baby-led weaning, or blenderized tube feeds.

Holly Johnson is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a Bachelor of Science in Maternal Child Health and Human Lactation. Holly is dedicated in helping military families and others in the Central Missouri area with all their infant feeding needs. She works with you to establish an evidence-based care plan that fits the needs of you and your infant. She has additional training in virtual consultations, oral habilitation, infant movements and holistic health.

Hi! I'm Kim. I'm a mom of two and I've been supporting families in the central valley and beyond since 2018. I began this journey as a postpartum doula and eventually realized my passion was helping families reach their lactation and feeding goals. As a lactation consultant I can assist with prenatal education, all things breastfeeding and pumping related including flange fitting. I can help with latching, positioning and all sorts of breastfeeding challenges including nipple pain, engorgement, milk supply and introducing bottles and returning to work. After the birth of my first daughter in 2011, I became passionate about breastfeeding and its advocacy. I had no idea how hard and isolating it would be and desperately wanted help and advice. We moved back to the Capital Region and I found La Leche League! This community of supportive, non-judgmental nursing families inspired me and I became an accredited Leader in 2017. Since then, I’ve been fervently learning about breastfeeding and human lactation. I earned the title of IBCLC in December 2022. I live in Averill Park, NY with my husband, two daughters, our two rescue cats, and a handful of chickens. My name is Sherri Gunn and I am one of the owners of Utah Breastfeeding & Tongue Tie center. I am a mom to six kids and had a very different breast-feeding journey with each one. I am passionate about helping others have support and help on their breast-feeding journey. I’m also a Myofunctional therapist so navigating oral restrictions and tethered oral ties is what I do best. I was also a NICU RN for years and have a special love for that population. I’m currently in school to become a family nurse practitioner so my life is a little crazy. If I am not at the clinic or studying or running kids around to various activities or making dinner, you can find me on my pretend farm feeding baby goats.

Liz is an Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) trained body worker who has over 10 years of experience working with newborns and their families. Her unique perspective on family centered care comes from a compilation of knowledge that she gained by working in a Level III NICU, as a postpartum doula, as a lactation consultant and a body worker. Her philosophy is that every family should feel they are thriving, not just surviving, the adjustment to adding a new baby to the family. While a lot of her time is focused on the first three months after delivery, her support can span years as the family unit is ever evolving. Her specialties include oral function, assessment for oral restriction (aka lip/tongue ties), tension release with CFT, post NICU graduates, multiples, and medically complex infants. The most important factors that drive the care you will receive from Liz are 1) what are you goals as a family and 2) what is the root cause of any struggle you are experiencing. There will be no band-aid fixes provided and nothing short of comprehensive care provided. It would be an honor to be included in your postpartum journey!
