I began birth doulaing in 2017 because I am fascinated by birth and adore babies. I quickly discovered how many needs the new mother has and have added on postpartum, lactation, prenatal yoga, and fertility services to better meet the needs of our community. My focus is on nurturing mothers (and birthing persons) and giving them the tools they need as they care for their growing families. I would love to talk to you about how I can help your family.

Hi! My name is Kelsi! I’m a wife, a Mama(of 3), a birth doula, and a lactation specialist! I believe that women were designed perfectly to nurture our babies. I love walking alongside women as they journey into motherhood. I offer informational, physical, and emotional support for the birth and breastfeeding experience. A little more about me... I love Jesus, playing board games with my husband, homeschooling my children, and working our small “backyard homestead.” We stay busy with chickens, goats, pigs, gardening, etc. and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Hi, I’m Lydia, and I am a birth doula, health and wellness coach, and massage therapist. I began this journey out of a deep passion for taking care of those around me, guiding them to become their best selves. In this pursuit, a thought struck me: what about the caretakers who dedicate their lives to caring for others all day long? Who is taking care of them? The realization ignited a fire within me, prompting me to focus on nurturing the nurturers, mothering the mothers, and caring for the caretakers. My mission became clear; to provide support, encouragement, and resources to those who selflessly give so much to others, ensuring they also receive the care they deserve.

From such a young age, we are taught to fear birth. We are told that birth is a something that we have to get through in order to have a baby. Birth is demonized and seen as dangerous and something that must be managed. But the more and more that I do this work, the more and more that I just cannot believe this is true. Yes, birth is intense, and birth is hard. But birth is not bad, it is not something that we need to avoid or get through. When given the space and care, birth transforms us. It can show you your strength, it can empower you, it can call you to lean on the love and support of the ones around you. Birth asks you to make space for the parts of yourself that we so often try to hide. It asks you to draw inward and trust your intuition and be loud and take up space. My job as a doula is not to be your voice or to make your birth happen any specific way, but it is to make space for your voice to be heard and make space for you to have autonomy over your body and decisions. It is to join you in holding the physical intensity of birth. Nothing that I do can take that away, but my goal is to help you know that you are never alone in walking through it, and hopefully give you tools and options to support your body. Your birth is your birth, not mine, not your sisters, not your parents. I am a body positive, lgbtq+ affirming doula. I have a special interest in supporting clients in low-intervention, physiological births, with an emphasis on following your intuition and values. I understand that the world does not treat us all equally; my mission is to ensure that all people are able to have access to affirming, compassionate, and empowering care. Please check out my website (www.honeybirthbham.com) if you believe we would be a good fit!

Hey families! I’m Bekah. I’m a CAPPA Certified Labor Doula (CLD) as well as Prenatal & Postpartum Fitness Specialist. Being your doula defines my professional calling in the context of my personal passion. I provide true advocacy along with emotional, informational, and physical support to mamas and their husbands or birth companions prenatally, during labor & birth, and throughout your early weeks postpartum. As your doula, your birth vision is my goal and my privilege to honor. All families deserve an unbiased, informed decision-making supporter. I hold space by engaging conversations so that you can be fully informed of all your options prenatally, during birth & for your newborn, including the actions of others in your birth room directed upon you and/or your baby. It’s my belief and experience that parents are deeply intuitive far beyond mainstream portrayal. I’m constantly in awe and thankful for the friendship built with you and your family during one of the most beautiful and life changing seasons of life.

Hello, my name is Amanda. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula. I have been married to my amazing husband for 25 years and together we have two grown children. I have been a doula for 32 years. I started my doula journey at a very young age, long before I even knew what a doula was. On top of being a doula I have worked in the medical field for 25 years. With most of my experience being in emergency, family and obstetrics and gynecology medicine. My passion for caring for others, my obstetric background and honestly being a birth nerd made becoming a doula a very easy choice. My goal as a doula is to empower and support all women, and their birthing partners by providing comfort, strength, and peace of mind. I will embrace your birth with love, compassion, and support.
