About me

Hello, my name is Amanda. I am a certified birth and postpartum doula. I have been married to my amazing husband for 25 years and together we have two grown children. I have been a doula for 32 years. I started my doula journey at a very young age, long before I even knew what a doula was. On top of being a doula I have worked in the medical field for 25 years. With most of my experience being in emergency, family and obstetrics and gynecology medicine. My passion for caring for others, my obstetric background and honestly being a birth nerd made becoming a doula a very easy choice. My goal as a doula is to empower and support all women, and their birthing partners by providing comfort, strength, and peace of mind. I will embrace your birth with love, compassion, and support.

Service introduction

I provide birth and postpartum care. I offer free consultation, via phone, video chat or in person. We will have two prenatal visits, at these visits we will design your birth plan, I will provide education on labor and delivery, go over comfort techniques, discuss any anxieties and or fears and answer any questions you may have. I also provide unlimited support, via phone calls, texts or emails during pregnancy. I will be on call, 24/7 starting at 37 weeks ending at 42 weeks or until baby is born. In addition I will provide continuous support, during labor and delivery, as well as after the baby is born for breastfeeding and bonding support. Once baby is born, I am available for questions and concerns for 6 weeks following the birth. I will provide 1 postpartum visit at 2 weeks postpartum. At this visit I will check in on both mom, baby and the family. At this appointment we will discuss how life with your new addition is going. We will discuss any concerns you are having, we will go over any birth traumas or anxiety's you may be having.
