Hi. I am your active holistic provider of doula and midwifery services from at home births and in-home care clients on a as need basis. We service 24hr 7days a week 335 days out of the year.

I have given birth three times and though each birth experience was vastly different, they have something in common – I will never forget them. I would love for every woman to have a special and meaningful childbirth experience. My experiences many years ago first led me to lactation peer counseling and postpartum support. My passion to serve and empower women led to becoming a birth doula, and eventually a midwife. I am certified through the North American Registry of Midwives as a Certified Professional Midwife and hold a Midwifery Bridge Certificate. I am also licensed as a midwife in the state of South Carolina. I believe birth is a natural, hormonally driven process from the onset of labor through birth of the baby and placenta, as well as the establishment of breastfeeding and the development of mother-baby attachment. To support the natural birth process, women need informational, emotional, and physical support, as well as minimal external interference.

I have been a home birth midwife for 25 years, have attended over 1000 births, apprenticed several students and am mother to 10 adult children, 7 of which were born at home. I have been a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) since 1998 with the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM), licensed in Virginia (2006) and South Carolina (2019). I have extensive experience in natural birth and breastfeeding, have developed workshops for skills instruction and verification. My passion is educating the next generation of midwives, the newborn/mother unit with specialties in the significance of bonding and human touch. I enjoy being lactation counselor and recently became a Spinning Babies Aware Practitioner TM (2018)

I am a native of the Upstate, raised in Greenwood. I am a wife and mother of two boys, and grandmother. I graduated from Greenville Technical College in 1999 with Associate Degree. Worked in the Women’s Center at Self Regional Healthcare as a registered nurse for many years. I decided to pursue my education, in 2010 I graduated from Lander University with Bachelors in Science of Nursing and University of Cincinnati in 2012 with a Master in Science of Nursing with a focus in Midwifery. I am board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board with an advance nursing license in South Carolina. I have participated in a variety of women’s health setting such as the home health, hospitals, and birth centers. I am also a CAPPA certified childbirth educator and have a special interest in education and anticipatory guidance during pregnancy. Working with expecting families is a true joy, all while supporting and empowering women. I provide personalized midwifery care.
