My husband and I faced the challenges of infertility for six years before conceiving our oldest daughter through IVF and our youngest daughter naturally. Each of my pregnancies and births was different from what I had imagined. I entered motherhood with a sense of naivety and quickly encountered postpartum depression and anxiety. I struggled during my early motherhood journey because I did not realize how important it was to feel grounded in order to be the best version of myself as a mom.
