Hi I’m Jay, and my journey as a doula began when I was just 14 years old. I supported a pregnant friend daily after school, and later, I took on a caregiving role for my newborn sister when my mom had to leave for work on weekends. From Friday night to Monday morning, it was just me, my baby sister, and my other younger sibling. These early experiences gave me a deep respect for birthing people and the incredible strength it takes to navigate parenthood. Before officially becoming a certified doula, I worked as an infant-toddler teacher, where I naturally stepped into a supportive role for postpartum families. Through these connections, I began unofficially offering doula services, providing care and guidance during a transformative time in their lives. Today, as a doula, herbalist, and yoga practitioner, I bring a lifetime of experience and passion to my work. My goal is to make care accessible to everyone, creating spaces where families feel empowered, supported, and nurtured. Whether it’s through personalized doula services, custom herbal blends, or prenatal yoga, I am honored to walk alongside families on their journey. Let’s work together to create a plan that meets your unique needs and ensures you feel cared for every step of the way.

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to introduce myself to you and share a little about what I do! My name is Kirsten Junghans and I am a DTI full spectrum doula, sleep trainer and postpartum chef. I serve the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm a single mother to an 11 year old kiddo named Ivy. As a doula my job is to make sure you know that your curiosities, concerns and questions are valid. The need to be reassured and supported are normal and valid as well. I am an advocate for all birthing individuals. With that being said, it is my responsibility and honor to comfort and support you in labor. I will tirelessly advocate for you to have the birth you want, to answer your questions and to explain what is happening. However, I will not be taking away your power by making every decision for you. This is your body, your birth and your baby. My job as your advocate and support person is to make sure you are informed of all your options, so that you don't ever lose your rights to bodily autonomy when you walk into the hospital. As your advocate I will do my utmost to support you and your choices while explaining your options to you. You are still in control, and that is very important to me! As a postpartum doula, I never overlook the importance of following up with you after your baby's birth. I will support you in the days, weeks or even months afterward. There are many types of support I offer including, feeding support, emotional support, helping you find a rhythm, preparing meals, and holding the baby so you can sleep. Everything I do is done to empower you and help you feel confident in your new role. The most important thing I do during the postpartum period is encourage you to rest and bond with your new baby. The weeks after birth are an immensely beautiful and emotional time. This is not the time to worry about cleaning and jumping back into your normal life. It's time to rest and get to know the child you've waited so long to meet!

Hello, my name is Jaqueline Himelfarb and I am a Newborn Care Specialist, Dual Certified Sleep Consultant and Founder of Ready For Rest, located in Walnut Creek, California and serving families in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. I have been working in the childcare field for 7+ years. I have completed my coursework to become an Advanced Newborn Care Specialist and Dual Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant. Additionally, I took courses in areas like infant and toddler sleep; food allergies; respectful care for newborns, infants, and toddlers; breastfeeding; and non-toxic living, to become a more well-rounded postpartum provider. I can provide newborn care education, basic breastfeeding assistance, and sleep support. My duties while working with past clients include diaper changing, feeding, bathing, caring for the child while parents rest, age-appropriate sleep training, support in the transition to the fourth trimester, and educating parents in aged and developmentally-appropriate activities. I follow a family centered, judgement-free, caring and flexible approach helping parents to transition to a life with a new baby. I take pride in working with parents as a team, communicating and listening to their fears, concerns, and observations to provide tailored care and support to their families.

I am Camila, founder of Sweet Tangerine Newborn Care. I am originally from Brazil and first moved to the U. S. as an Au Pair, but my story as a caregiver didn't start there. I've been working with children since 2011 when I started teaching preschool. Since then, I have always been involved in the area of education and child care. When I moved to San Francisco, I also had the opportunity to work as a nanny taking care of infants and toddlers. Being around babies and kids, and teaching them to develop and become amazing humans is a big part of me. I have dedicated myself to learning more and specializing in newborn care, which is the area that I love the most, especially now that I became a mom myself. Additional to my vast experience, I have a Master's degree in education science and many complementary courses in the area, such as Newborn Care Specialist, CPR, and first AID.
