I have always had a passion to support women and babies every since I was younger. I have been in the medical field for 7 years now since I graduated high school and am a medical assistant. I have also been a newborn nanny to multiple families. I fell in love the women’s health/OBGYN/labor and delivery when I started as a medical assistant 4 years ago and was a medical assistant for 2 years at a women’s clinic and fell in love with the women’s clinic and got to shadow over 10 births by the midwives and OB’s at the clinic. I am currently applying for nursing school to become a labor and delivery nurse but wanted to be active in this field of work right now, so this is where I decided to become a birth doula. I feel that I am very equipped and experienced in this field and cannot wait to meet you and your family and help you bring your baby(s) into the world in a way you feel comfortable and proud of and I am here to support you along that journey!

Hello! My name is Angel McGinn and I have worked as a Registered Nurse for the past 15 years. My favorite positions were the ones I held as a Postpartum and/or Labor and Delivery nurse. I love being with families as they transition into parenthood and/or continue to grow their families. I’ve worked in many different areas of nursing, but decided to step away from the hospital to pursue my dream of becoming a Doula and being able to provided 1:1 client care. Additionally, I struggled with breastfeeding both of my boys, which prompted me obtain my CLC -lactation certification, so that I could be of assistance others in their chest/breastfeeding journey. Being a Doula is a new role for me, but this work is 100% aligned with what I believe I was made for. I have always wanted to be able to provide care at this level, so this transition has been like a dream come true for me! I am married and this year will be our 12th wedding anniversary in September. We have three children together and my husband has two from a previous marriage that are now young adults. Our two boys are 11 and 2 and we have a sweet baby girl that lives in heaven. We also are animal lovers with two Siamese cats and a Colie dog:)

Hello, my name is Alyx Cucci and I am a certified birthworker living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I have personally experienced a hospital birth, a birth center birth as well as a home birth and although they were all exceptionally different I loved each of them equally. As a birthworker I am a firm believer in the magic that is created by a birthing person and their partner during the entirety of the birth process. I am always grateful to be chosen as a witness to these extraordinary experiences and my ultimate hope is that I am more of a witness than anything else. I work hard to educate and empower a couple before the arrival of their baby so when the time comes, they are able to confidently and comfortably take control of their birth with me their merely as an extra set of hands when needed or sometimes to simply hold space. I also believe that there is a birthworker for everyone. We are not one size fits all and neither are you. And….THATS OKAY. I love chatting with potential clients and seeing if we are a match. Most often we are, and sometimes we are not. Childbirth can make women feel vulnerable and unsure. They need somebody they can completely trust and open up to. Somebody they can feel vulnerable and unsure with. And let’s be honest, sometimes we just done jive with others. I want potential clients to understand that I am just one type of doula. I am open and honest and blunt. I believe in this magic down in the deepest parts of my soul. I am knowledgeable and empowering; I care genuinely for each of my clients but I am not the fit for every woman. Thankfully, if I am not, there is another who is. And I want you to have that birthworker attend your birth and stand witness to your miracle. Lets chat, no hard feelings. 😊

With dedication and gratitude, Sage supports growing families as a birth, postpartum, and sibling support doula. She has a calming, lighthearted, and nurturing presence and loves working with parents, both new and experienced. Every family's goals and preferences are unique and Sage offers non-judgemental care that respects what is important to them through each peak and valley of their experience. She is passionate about empowerment, bodily autonomy, and evidence-based information for every pregnant person. Her toolkit for birth includes: position suggestions, guidance towards understanding birth interventions, warm encouragement, and facilitation of an oxytocin abundant environment. Sage feels called to this work as a natural-born caregiver who has loved working with babies from a young age. As she grew up, Sage discovered her passion for supporting not just babies, but the whole family as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. She has spent the last 10 years working with infants and toddlers as a professional nanny, which has given her a talent for thinking on her feet and attuning to the needs of others. Sage is a proud Oregonian and was born and raised in Portland! She is an inquisitive life-long learner, crafting enthusiast, and enjoys being out in nature whenever she can. Though she treasures work with all kinds of people, Sage finds deep meaning in providing care to LGBTQIA2s+ families informed by her own queer lived experience. She is also enthusiastic about providing compassionate support for people of all sizes. As an animal lover, Sage has a special interest in guiding families as they prepare their furry kids to be good siblings to a new baby! When she is not caring for families she is spending her time cooking, baking, quilting, sewing, and enjoying Oregon’s stunning outdoors in a kayak.

Hi everyone! My experience with birth started with my first birth: my son was born peacefully at home in the water. I fell in love with birth right away, and began taking doula classes. My approach to prenatal, labor, and postpartum care is mother and family centered. I’ve also trained in labor massage, Ayurvedic postpartum nutrition, childbirth education, and as a lactation educator and placenta specialist. My goal is to offer support, assurance, and information to my families at every step of their early parenthood journey. My philosophy and education align best with mamas who are pursuing natural birth and holistic support. I have experience with VBACs, HBACs, and free births.

Birth is a beautiful time for support and connection, and the loving care you receive from your support team is a transformative way to begin the new phase of life that your baby is starting! I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula serving the Corvallis area. I also have my Traditional Healthcare Worker certification and am a member of the Community Doula Program and will be able to bill Medicaid by the end of March. I am nonbinary and welcome trans and gender non-conforming clients and families. I have two young children and have lived experience with prematurity, NICU stays, and pregnancy loss. I have experienced several different birthing situations. Additionally I have personal experience and experience working as a doula for several infants who struggle to feed and gain weight. I grew up in Corvallis and feel deeply connected to the community here. I worked in early childhood education for several years after graduating from UO while also moving around the country, enjoying spending time in both San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX. Both of those cities also allowed me to pursue modern dance which I’ve enjoyed since I was a child! Dancing, yoga, and movement are a huge part of who I am and there’s a deep connect for me between movement and birth work. I find joy, peace, and belonging in movement, building community and sharing the things I love with my children.

My name is Aly, and I'm a registered nurse and Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I feel strongly about helping new parents navigate the challenges of feeding their baby with confidence, education, and joy. I want to help you achieve your feeding goals in a way that works for YOU! My journey began as a birth photographer and continued as I became a labor and delivery nurse. Through my own struggles with breastfeeding, I found my passion in lactation consulting. My love for breastfeeding and birth work grew from there; I became a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and then furthering my education and experience, became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). When I'm not supporting new parents with feeding their babies, I enjoy playing with my two kids, Nixon and Roman and spending time with my husband, Ryan, and our family. Whether it's traveling or camping, tending to my garden, or gaining knowledge about homesteading on my Grandparents' farm, I always find ways to make the most of my time with my family.

Hi! I live in Springfield Oregon and I’m a mom of 4 and grandma of 2. I’ve wanted to be a doula since before I even knew the name of what the job was. I had assumed you needed a degree and/or medical training to be a birth advocate and as soon I found out exactly how to become a doula I did! I completed my doula and postpartum training in April 2024 through SMC Doulas in Portland and it was a wonderful experience! I was a 20 year old single mom when I had my oldest daughter and I birthed alone, just myself, the nurse and my dr and it was an experience that I never wanted to repeat or have anyone I knew have. I will support you, advocate with you for your needs and desires and be there as little or as much as you need. I will also be there for you postpartum holding your baby so you can shower, washing laundry, doing dishes, making meals, you tell me what you need and I can accommodate you. I can meet with you virtually over zoom or in person. My goal is to keep my doula business small and basically be on call when you need me taking only a couple clients at a time. If you wake up at 3am and need to talk I can accommodate that. Being pregnant, giving birth, having a newborn and being a brand new parent all can be anxiety producing and at the same the happiest times of your life! I understand that completely!!
