Support from Doula Kailey can be especially helpful for new parents who may not have a strong support system in place, or who may be struggling with postpartum depression or other mental health issues. Having a knowledgeable and compassionate support person available can help new parents feel more confident and capable in their caregiving roles, and can help promote a smoother transition to parenthood. Some of the services I provide are: -Assistance with newborn care, including diapering, feeding, and bathing -Support with breast/chest feeding, including troubleshooting common issues and offering guidance on positioning and latching -Emotional support, including listening and providing reassurance to new mothers -Light housekeeping, including tasks such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up -Referrals to additional resources, such as parenting classes and support groups.
Kailey was such a joy to work with. Coming home with my second baby, I didn’t realize how much help is need. I was recovering from a c-section and had difficulty getting up, moving and even holding my baby. She helped with everything, and allowed me to enjoy those first few weeks in a way I never could have without her. She was calm, confident, and caring. I would recommend her to new parents as well as experienced parents.

Kailey was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. We’ve been so satisfied, that we’ve worked with her several times and referred her to friends for their needs too. Having someone who has grown up in Central Oregon, who knows and cares about the area, makes such a difference.
