Hello! I’m Margot, a certified postpartum doula with nearly 15 years of experience in childcare. I bring over 8 years of professional nanny and infant care experience to my role, having cared for children from newborns to 11 years old in both formal and informal settings. I hold a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and Child Development, which has guided me towards my current role as a postpartum doula. I received my certification from BADT in 2023 and have maintained a CPR/First Aid certification for over a decade. My background equips me to support families through various developmental stages, including those with disabilities, and I am committed to offering personalized care and respite during the postpartum period. My goal is to ease the transition for families, ensuring they receive the support and understanding they need.

My services can be divided into three categories: infant care, postpartum care, and family care. Infant care includes my services such as daytime or overnight care of your infant(s). I work with my families to create a plan for feeding schedules and am available as an extra set of eyes, ears, and arms to care for your newborn. I have experience with various types of feeding as well as sleeping styles, so I am equipped to plug into your family's preferred methods. Postpartum care is directed toward the parent who gave birth. It is important to me that the parent who is physically in postpartum is taken care of physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This can look like simply talking through their birth experience, providing resources on community groups, assisting in making various appointments, and any additional research they may be seeking. You can consider me a "postpartum personal assistant." In providing this care I hope that the postpartum person can rest and have ample time to recover from birth. Family care includes my services that benefit the family unit and household. Some practical examples are completing laundry, cleaning dishes, grocery shopping, and organizing tasks. In addition, I have expertise in sibling relationships and can offer a guiding hand in welcoming a new child. I also seek to support non-birthing parents or caregivers and aim to empower them in their role as a parent and family members. Our work together can look like one or a multitude of these offers.
Margot is a gifted caregiver. The joy she gets from being around children and the love she shows them is so real. I would wholeheartedly recommend her (and have) to my closest friends and family. She is competent, trustworthy, highly attuned to children, sensitive, funny, special. My children adore her and so do I.

Margot was an absolute lifesaver for us after our second baby was born. She was so attentive not only to my needs but my whole family's needs, and had such a natural way about her which made everything feel so much easier. She was our first non-family member to take care of my son, and I felt completely comfortable trusting her with both my kids and myself. She brought such a calming presence that helped my older child adjust to a new baby too. I would totally recommend her to any of my friends who are expecting!

Margot worked with our family during a pivotal time for my children (and for us as parents.) Margot was a calm, insightful presence in our lives - approaching each day with our children with a sense of excitement and optimism as well as adaptability. She was always ready to meet my kids where they were.. and to provide nurturing emotional supports to each member of our family when needed. Both of my children, as it turns out are neurodivergent, one of whom is PDA/Autistic. Margot was so affirming of each child and their unique qualities and the way they present in the world. Loving them for who they are .. never trying to "change" their beautiful quirky traits and acting as a support for my husband and I as we try to raise kids that have self-love and self acceptance even when the world isn't always accepting of differences and even when mom and dad sometimes can be less patient than we wish we were. Margot became a trusted companion for me in my parenting journey. Fielding questions + providing advice when needed based on her experience with other kids. She is very intentional in her relationships and brings her best to work each day. Always so patient with us and adaptable to our ever-changing lives, schedules and needs. Having had a doula myself when both my kids were born, I can imagine Margot would be the most calming, but fun, positive presence to have as a support in those early days. She truly LOVES children and babies. She is a grounding presence during chaotic times. We could not wish her the best, and any family would be SO beyond lucky to get to have her in their lives.

Margot was my postpartum doula for my second birth. I attribute her support the key to my ease and fairly fast healing after welcoming our second baby into our family. Margot is a wealth of knowledge concerning my healing, baby care, feeding and bonding as a family of 4. I found Margot’s ability to hold space for all my feels navigating becoming a parent of 2 invaluable, I was surprised by how hard the transition was emotionally and it was so grounding to have her witness my journey without judgment. I recommend all my friends to Margot for postpartum support.
