Hi! My name is Amy and I'm a Birth and Postpartum Doula in Lexington, KY. My work focuses on 3 pillars of support during the birthing year! Education: knowing your options and planning for your ideal birth experience and the unexpected. A great way to avoid a traumatic birth experience is to be really educated about your options before you go into labor! Advocacy: knowing what you want and making sure that is respected and supported. It's your birth and you're in charge! Recovery: postpartum is a gift to reset your health, but this requires rest, nourishment and establishing new routines with your new baby. I will help you make a plan before baby arrives and implement it after you give birth!
Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Hi everyone! I’m Lauren, a birth, bereavement and postpartum support doula based near Elizabethtown Kentucky. I became passionate about Birth about three years ago when I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter. As a first time mom with a medical condition that prevented me from having an epidural, I took a deep dive into all things unmedicated birth. I took the Pain Free Birth course with Karen Welton, I learned breathing exercises, had countless conversations with my husband about my wishes & really did everything I felt that I could to prepare for my birth. I fired my OB at 28 weeks and joined a midwifery practice based out of Charleston South Carolina and went on to have a beautifully unmedicated water birth after a 32 hour long labor. I gave birth to a healthy 8lbs baby girl and have been breastfeeding her successfully for over two years. My passion lies heavily in unmedicated births and breastfeeding but I serve as an advocate for mothers of all kinds and help them to achieve their dream birth and postpartum season. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and I would be more than happy to help in whatever way I can. Blessings to all.

Hi, I'm Lauren! As a mother of three, I've personally experienced the full spectrum of childbirth - from epidurals to breech C-sections to the empowering journey of natural birth. My own experiences ignited a passion within me to support and empower other mothers on their own unique paths to motherhood. I was privileged to use a doula in all three births and having her transformed our birth experience. I felt supported and listened to, my husband truly appreciated how involved he was in the birth as well.

Hi! My name is Aubrey, I’m 24, and I am a mama to 3 wild toddlers. My journey to this profession started in 2019 when I had my first born. I had a hospital birth and had no clue what I was doing and neither did my husband. It was a rough experience to say the least. So when I got pregnant with my second baby I wanted things to be different. I did a lot of research and ended up having a home-birth. It was beautiful, I had never been so close to God. I got pregnant again less than a year later and had another beautiful home-birth. I realized that some women never get to feel like I did, I want to change that. I want mamas to feel what it is to have a faith-filled, relaxing, beautiful birth is like. Even if it isn’t at home. Every woman should get to experience what I experienced.

I became a Doula in June of 2018 and it is a true passion of mine. I have personally had both natural and medicated birth experiences and I support all births! I believe every birth journey is unique and that's the beauty of your story! After having a doula present for two of my babies, I quickly developed a passion and knew I wanted to be able to support others going through pregnancy and birth. I also know how challenging the Fourth Trimester can be and I l have such a heart to support moms in navigating through that postpartum season. I am also super passionate about educating families and empowering you to be an advocate for yourself. I offer in-home birth education, phone support, and consults for families who want the knowledge and prenatal support, but don't necessarily want the full doula labor and birth presence.

Over 10 years ago, I answered the call to be with women in the childbearing year. Becoming a doula was my 1st baby step on this most rewarding journey! I advanced through nursing school and gained critical medical knowledge and insight working within the industrial-medical-pharmaceutical-complex, all the while retaining my grounding in the natural power of beautifully supported women. I started attending homebirths as the primary assistant to the midwife in 2014. Between home, hospital, and free-standing birth center settings, I have been honored to attend around 300-400 births as a nurse so far. In my journey, I have worked closely with midwives, learning the art of breastfeeding and participating in passing along this skill from woman to woman, even in the case of serious difficulty. I've coached hundreds of clients from all around the United States on topics ranging from navigating the health care system while pregnant, preventing cesarean section, reducing their risk, and so much more! My saga is only just beginning, and I want to bring as many women and families along this path as I can. Health is freedom. Material knowledge is the currency of our times, but wisdom and intuition are what give knowledge power. I hope to impart my wisdom gained through experience to you, so you can apply this to your life, and do what you know is right in your heart and mind. I want to hold your hand as you take a quantum leap of faith… Faith in yourself, in your body’s design and designer…

I have been a birth doula for almost a two years now. Have helped about a dozen clients & it’s one of the best things I can do with my time. I have two kiddos myself, & after my first traumatic birth that’s when I knew I wanted to be a doula & help other mamas never had to go through something that traumatic if I could help it. My motto is holding space in the birth room wherever that is for you. 💕 I am on a little break from taking birth clients but I’m hoping to get back to it by early next year. Still love to chat & help with info as I can! Instagram is a great way to connect with me if you have any questions!
