My journey into birth work started back in 2017. From then I have many accomplishments including serving families as a certified IBCLC, birth doula, postpartum doula, childbirth educator and placenta encapsulation specialist. I am a RN IBCLC Lactation Consultant and have been for over 40 years. I have worked all areas of obstetrical nursing, including home care I currently run my own business from my home. I do home visits and my goal is to assist mom baby and family to achieve the feeding goals that are important to them . I am also a Certified Happiest Baby on the Block educator . As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I’m passionate about helping you achieve your health and wellness goals. Whether that is trying to conceive, expecting, breastfeeding or formula feeding— my focus is on you and your baby’s health and wellness. I hold a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion and specialize in prenatal and postpartum nutrition and lactation support. In addition to seeing clients here, I also conduct research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital focused on maternal and child health across the lifespan. As a mom of two young children, I understand and appreciate the trenches we must dig through as parent’s. I approach parenting with a unique perspective and sharing this knowledge is my passion. My belief is that our knowledge is power, it is our confidence.

I have been a Lactation Consultant for over 25 years. I have a background as a pediatric RN and home-birth midwife, and have provided lactaton care both in a full-spectrum maternity unit and in my private-care home office. I have lectured at lactation conferences on many aspects of lactation and am the founder and executive Director of Baby Cafe USA, a national network of free community-based breastfeeding support sites.

I became a doula because I want to be able to support women through this beautiful and natural process. I believe that every birth is special and unique and that every woman who desires additional support and encouragement should receive that. Every woman who experiences it should be able to look back and know that they had a team of people on their side during their birth. To me, birth is not routine and each person who experiences it- goes through something different. Whether it be a joyous occasion or one someone would soon rather forget, I believe in meeting each woman at the point of their need and helping them get through it safely and collaboratively as possible.
