About me

Hello! My name is Catherine. I’m a mama to three boys and a traditional birth doula. I became passionate about the process of physiological birth after I had my first homebirth with my third son…it was the first time I truly felt empowered during the birth process and now I want every mama to be able to experience that same feeling! I believe as women we have everything we need to give birth already inside of us but that we don’t have to do this alone! I’m here to hold your hand, remind you of how strong you are and celebrate with you when the hard part is over! I would be honored to be a part of your journey. The way I serve and support women as a doula is best described as “birth bestie” or “birth sister.” I want to truly get to know you, learn what makes your heart beat, and hear all your dreams and desires for birth. I offer a listening ear and a calming presence for anything you might need to work through or discuss throughout your pregnancy journey. If any of this sounds good to you, let’s go grab coffee and get to know each other! https://msha.ke/jubilantbirth www.instagram.com/jubilant.birth

Service introduction

My services I offer are unique in the way that I am a more traditional type of birth doula, I focus a lot on connection with my clients and being an anchor for them throughout pregnancy and labor. I don’t focus as much on the business side of things and on birth education because I don’t see it to be as important as the words we pour into a mother, the gentle touch, affirmations and the way we are able to serve her.

Throughout pregnancy I went back and fourth as to if I should hire a doula or not. I made the decision to and I’m SO glad I did. When I first met with Catherine, I knew she would be the perfect choice. Throughout pregnancy she provided tips on how to breastfeed, baby wear, and set myself up for success postpartum. During birth, she could read my every need and knew exactly what to suggest or do. There were times throughout my birth where I was struggling and locked eyes with her and felt safe. She encouraged me and told me, “you’re made to do this, there is nothing to fear”. After birth, she has been an amazing resource. As a first time mom, I had so many questions and she always gave the best advice. She has sent me articles, podcasts, doctors, anything I needed to make the transition into motherhood more smooth. My husband and I are forever grateful for Catherine. We cannot picture pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period without her. She was our rock when we needed her. She feels like a longtime friend and I wish we lived closer!

I couldn’t recommend Catherine enough! She is the best doula and is so helpful through every step of the pregnancy. She always answers every question I have and is such an amazing support throughout the whole pregnancy and post partum. I couldn’t do it without her!
