I was certified as an IBCLC in 2009. I have had the honor of working for the Breastfeeding Resource Center since certifying. I have worked both in the hospital and outpatient setting. I am also certified in TummyTime!™ and I am also a Professional Holistic Sleep Coach.

Both in-person and virtual visits for pregnant and breastfeeding parents are available. The visits include a detailed health and breastfeeding history, observation of a feeing, as well as pre and post weight checks. A full plan is developed and shared with the family, the mother's and baby's HCP. Follow up visits available as needed and quick questions through our HIPAA compliant portal are encouraged. Hope became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2017, completed her PhD in nutritional biochemistry in May 2018, and became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in September 2020. In addition to owning and operating Hope Feeds Families, Hope is employed full time at Winthrop University in the Department of Human Nutrition running a research lab that focuses on helping mothers to reach their infant feeding goals, improving access to human milk, and analyzing the nutritional content of human milk. As an IBCLC, Hope has a passion for connecting with mothers to help them to reach their individual feeding goals and advocacy for maternal health. As an RDN, Hope loves to support parents in feeding their children, whether that is traditional solids, baby-led weaning, or blenderized tube feeds.

Virtual care allows you to be in the comfort of your own home and typically allows more flexibility in scheduling. I will be there for you from pregnancy through to weaning and beyond. Liz is an Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) trained body worker who has over 10 years of experience working with newborns and their families. Her unique perspective on family centered care comes from a compilation of knowledge that she gained by working in a Level III NICU, as a postpartum doula, as a lactation consultant and a body worker. Her philosophy is that every family should feel they are thriving, not just surviving, the adjustment to adding a new baby to the family. While a lot of her time is focused on the first three months after delivery, her support can span years as the family unit is ever evolving. Her specialties include oral function, assessment for oral restriction (aka lip/tongue ties), tension release with CFT, post NICU graduates, multiples, and medically complex infants. The most important factors that drive the care you will receive from Liz are 1) what are you goals as a family and 2) what is the root cause of any struggle you are experiencing. There will be no band-aid fixes provided and nothing short of comprehensive care provided. It would be an honor to be included in your postpartum journey!

After the birth of my first daughter in 2011, I became passionate about breastfeeding and its advocacy. I had no idea how hard and isolating it would be and desperately wanted help and advice. We moved back to the Capital Region and I found La Leche League! This community of supportive, non-judgmental nursing families inspired me and I became an accredited Leader in 2017. Since then, I’ve been fervently learning about breastfeeding and human lactation. I earned the title of IBCLC in December 2022. I live in Averill Park, NY with my husband, two daughters, our two rescue cats, and a handful of chickens. I love gardening, cooking, cycling, running, pole vaulting, learning new things, and empowering families to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

My name is Sherri Gunn and I am one of the owners of Utah Breastfeeding & Tongue Tie center. I am a mom to six kids and had a very different breast-feeding journey with each one. I am passionate about helping others have support and help on their breast-feeding journey. I’m also a Myofunctional therapist so navigating oral restrictions and tethered oral ties is what I do best. I was also a NICU RN for years and have a special love for that population. I’m currently in school to become a family nurse practitioner so my life is a little crazy. If I am not at the clinic or studying or running kids around to various activities or making dinner, you can find me on my pretend farm feeding baby goats.

I have been a nurse for 16 years, an IBCLC for over 7 years. I have three children, 10,10,9. (Twins). After becoming a mother myself and truly experiencing the hardships, I knew my mission was to be there for these moms during the toughest phase of life. And my goal isn’t to make sure they breastfeed. While I do want them to meet their goals, I will never pressure a mom to only breastfeed. Everyone’s journey is different, and my job is to educate and support these families, however that may look. I want to be a resource for them to grow and thrive as a parent. After 36 years as an RN & IBCLC Lactation Consultant in the hospital in Maternal Child units I retired to focus on the mothers and babies in my community & my family. I have received TOTs certification (Tethered oral tissues) Tongue and lip ties have become my specialty. Mastitis and clogged ducts treatment, breastfeeding multiples & pumping care is also very important. I do in home and virtual consultations. I work with The Lactation Network to assist patients in getting their consultation covered by the patient’s insurance. Also, a private pay scale is available.

My passion is deeply rooted in my personal experience and life long passions to help others. I had a rough start breastfeeding our daughter. With the thoughtful care of an amazing IBCLC who came to my home to help me, I was able to have a long breastfeeding journey with our daughter. Her support made me realize that I wanted to help other parents achieve their goals. It was really a full circle journey for me. When I was in college, I thought that I wanted to go into healthcare, but my academic journey didn’t work out for that. I pursued a degree in marketing and entered into the business world. I could never figure out why that didn’t work out in college until I was inspired to become a lactation professional. God had a plan for me to help moms, and lactation has been my way to help people in the way that I always thought that I wanted to in healthcare. I am a mom to two amazing kiddos and in my previous career worked in marketing and sales. My husband and I met when we both worked in college athletics. I took a step back from my career when I got pregnant with our daughter and focused on her and living the coach’s wife life with SEC football. It is then that I found my passion for lactation. I am a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame and I grew up in the Michiana area. I am so happy to be home and serving our community (and beyond) with my private practice.
