I have 4 grown children, I was a sign language interpreter many years ago, and worked in a local church for 20 years. I was incredibly nieve and uninformed when I had my children and it is my hearts desire to support moms through pregnancy and birth as well as those first few months after baby is born. I have no preconcieved notions as to how your birth should or should not go. I believe in supporting you in the way that fits you the best while informing you of all your options. I have been so blessed to have jobs I have loved all my life - wife, mother, grandmother, registered nurse, pregnancy care center director, lactation consultant and certified postpartum doula. It is hard to believe it has been over 48 years since nursing school. Though I would never have thought so in nursing school, my focus has always been all things moms, babies and families. ​This journey has taken me from basic knowledge of how babies are born to a deep respect of the profound changes that take place within the childbearing family, because we are so fearfully and wonderfully made.

Being a Doula has brought much fulfillment into Jennifer’s life. As a Birth Worker, she enjoys being able to be a source of comfort and guidance for families. I am a mom to two boys, Judah & Roman, who inspired me to start on this journey of helping mothers learn to overcome breastfeeding hurdles when I hit my own very early on. I had very different issues to work through with both boys, but with the help of my "village" that included very supportive friends, family, and IBCLCs both in and out of the hospital setting, I was able to reach my own personal breastfeeding goals. Both in-person and virtual visits for pregnant and breastfeeding parents are available. The visits include a detailed health and breastfeeding history, observation of a feeing, as well as pre and post weight checks. A full plan is developed and shared with the family, the mother's and baby's HCP. Follow up visits available as needed and quick questions through our HIPAA compliant portal are encouraged.
