Eden is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant(IBCLC). She has been working with breastfeeding families for 10 years, and her experience includes working in a NICU environment, pediatric office, outpatient clinic and in-home setting. Eden provides care for common breastfeeding concerns such as latch difficulty and early mother-baby separation at birth. She also provides care, support, and follow up for complex lactation challenges such as tethered oral tissues(infant tongue/lip tie), breastfeeding the preterm infant, low milk supply, IGT and relactation.

I'm an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My passion for lactation began 10 years ago after exclusively breastfeeding my first baby while struggling with PCOS and low thyroid. I finally began my lactation career as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor during the pandemic right after having my own pandemic baby. My story is a lot like the families I help and that drives my passion for being that voice to encourage moms not to give up on their feeding goals even if I am the only voice in their corner. As an IBCLC I provide prenatal breastfeeding education, postpartum breastfeeding support, and professional guidance for aspiring IBCLCs. I've worked with thousands of diverse families to help them achieve their personal feeding goals. My experience started in 1997 as a Mother-Baby nurse where I began working with families who were also learning to feed their babies. I knew I wanted to become a lactation consultant after repeatedly watching parents in tears and feeling defeated as they struggled with feeding their infants regardless of their age, education level, or race. I pursued that education and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2005. I breastfed my four children, but not without my own hiccups! Even though I had some experience and knowledge, each baby was doing it for the first time, and we had to learn how to do it together!

Founded in 2011, BabyFirst Lactation and Childbirth's mission has been to educate and support expectant and new mothers, help babies thrive, and empower women. We are health care professionals, and international board certified lactation consultants. I am also a certified childbirth educator. We provide in-home breastfeeding consultations within the South Lake County, Florida area, and virtual consultations, plus prenatal education classes both in person and virtually.
