Hello there! Welcome and thank you for taking the time to get to know me and the services I offer. I want to take a moment to congratulate you on this incredible journey you are on to becoming a parent. You are taking important steps and doing your research just by being here. We are all experts here. I am an expert on birth and support. You are an expert on your body and your baby. Your partner is an expert on you and your needs. I support all birth plans and recognize that you are an individual and your birth is exactly that, yours. I support you in whatever you desire and choose whether that is an unmedicated birth, medicated birth, induction, planned cesarean, VBAC, home birth, etc. I made the decision to pursue birth work because I had an amazing birth experience and happily shared my story. By sharing, I quickly discovered that many people did not have a positive experience and that traumatic experiences were the norm. This sparked a passion to serve families and help change the narrative of birth experiences. I have served 14 families as a postpartum doula and 53 families as a birth doula over the past 4 years and it is a dream career!

Birth Support

2 Prenatal Visits- 1 Birth Plan Visit and 1 Comfort Measures Visit (2 hour workshop) Physical Support during birth-on call at 37 weeks 2 Postpartum Visits -1 of these visits includes a meal

Postpartum Services

Customized packages available Custom Package- an amount of hours and weeks agreed upon Example: 5 nights a week, 10 hour shifts from 10pm-8am Multiples Service Fee- $2 extra hourly Set Packages available starting at $25/hr daytime and $34/hr overnight

I have told anyone that will listen that hiring Melanie was one of the best choices when it came to my pregnancy and birth. We did the Birth Boot Camp comprehensive class, and I felt that was incredibly informative as well. Melanie has such a sweet demeanor and her calm presence was very welcome and helpful for both my husband and I when we were in the hospital. I'm ecstatic that we're also able to have her be a part of our birth team for our second child.
