A little about myself! My journey in healthcare started in the ER as a patient care tech, and I became an RN in 2010. Shortly after obtaining my RN I stepped into the world of Women's Health. I have practiced in multiple arenas of Women's Health such as: mother/baby, newborn admission and nursery, labor and delivery, OB-GYN office, and lactation consultation. My journey with breastfeeding was brought on when I faced my own personal struggles with breastfeeding my first baby. I've been working with babies and new moms for more than 35 years. I first started working in the NICU in 1980, then moved to the newborn nursery in 1985. I became certified as an IBCLC in 1997 and opened my business, Baby Expressions in Houston, TX that same year. I worked with moms and their babies, in their homes for more than 20 years, when we retired to north Georgia. I missed working with moms and babies, so I opened my business here in Georgia. I've worked with moms and preemies as well as older infants, and all ages in between.
