My name is Ashley Mullane First and foremost, I am a firefighter wife and a mom to three little ones. I am originally from Nashville, TN but have been calling Boise, ID home since 2016. I am a DONA trained birth doula, a LAMAZE trained childbirth educator, and a TBIB trained birth photographer. ​ Birth is a normal, natural, and healthy process. Every birth is unique and so are the desires and needs of each birthing woman. My greatest joy as a birth doula is educating, empowering, and supporting families to ensure they have a positive birth experience. I completed my schooling in Gresham, OR, and medical training in Portland at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. My father was an OB-GYN, and many of my extended family are also in medicine, so becoming a respiratory therapist just felt right on so many different levels. My love for children and their families grew, and I began to lean more toward advocacy, education, and preventive health. It is a passion that lights me up and bringing Let Mommy Sleep to Idaho is a true gift! I've spent time in many different areas of respiratory care here in Boise, but my favorite has been caring for children and their families. (I even spent some time in sleep medicine!) My family and I are active in our community and are part of a large fun, supportive, and engaging group of people. Let Mommy Sleep has been welcomed here with open arms because we offer something so special and unique for the growing families that need that extra support. I have worked with supporting families and the unique challenges that a family can face with their children since I was 17. I have also had the opportunity to support couples through infertility to have a family since 2012. I believe that my desire to help build families and through becoming a mother my self has led me to Doula work. I took my training in February 2016 and haven’t looked back! There is so much beauty and excitement in pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. There is also the unexpected and I love being a support to a new family through it all.
