About me

I was inspired to pursue birth work after becoming a parent and experiencing how powerful and transformative the birthing process is. I also do this work because it brings so much joy and connection. I believe that supporting families during such a vulnerable and sacred passage in their lives, providing access to care, educating and overall empowering birthing people to trust their bodies and intuition is truly fundamental for healthy maternal/ birthing outcomes. I am the proud mama of a magical 3 year old. In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and watching the wild dance of our trees. I love eating and getting lost in a good book. I was born in Guatemala and moved to the states when I was 7 years old. Spanish is my first language. I got a Bachelors in Marketing at Missouri State University and moved to Austin shortly thereafter. I have been married for 6 years to a man who makes me laugh. I look forward to working with you and your family!

Service introduction

As a community doula, I have been able to support warriors as they journey through the sacred space of bringing life into this world. I am an indigenous person from Guatemala. As such, I view birth as a ceremony, honoring the birthing person and their family as well as their placenta. My practice is deeply rooted in prayer, calling upon my beautiful ancestral guides. My objective is to empower you to engage with the power that lies within. I am in deep gratitude for this work as it is full of joy, meaning, and ultimately my biggest teacher. If any one of the packages below does not fully resonate with you, I am happy to customize my services. I understand that all my clients are unique and deserve to be supported on an individual basis.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the support and compassion our doula Zulmy brought to our birthing experience! From our very first meeting, she took the time to understand our birth plan, needs, and anxieties, creating a comforting presence that helped us feel prepared and empowered. Her knowledge was invaluable, providing answers and guidance on everything from physical comfort measures to emotional support. During labor, she was an incredible source of strength and calm. She anticipated my needs, stayed by my side every step of the way, and helped my partner feel involved and confident in his role. Her techniques for pain management and her calm encouragement made all the difference, allowing me to focus and trust the process. Even after birth, she continued to check in on us, offering advice and resources that helped immensely as we transitioned into parenthood. If you're looking for a birth doula who is professional, compassionate, and deeply committed to making your birth experience as positive as possible, look no further. We couldn’t have asked for a better support person to help welcome our little one into the world!
