Yvette was instrumental to my family during our early days with a newborn. As a first-time mom and with close family out of state, I wanted to have reliable care available for me and baby, so I sought a postpartum doula during my pregnancy. Secretly, I also wanted to learn how to care for my newborn because I felt clueless and as they say, babies don’t come with instruction manuals. Yvette was caring and patient with my family. She’s a baby whisperer and she has an innate ability to read and hear what babies are communicating. With me and baby, she took the time to assess what was going on and then offered guidance on things to try. Even though my baby is almost 6 months, it feels like ages ago when I felt vulnerable and lost during the newborn stage. She helped support me and gave me confidence in being a mom and knowing my baby. I wouldn’t be where I am now if she wasn’t there to help me through the challenges early on.

For my first 3 births, it had only been my husband and I present (in addition to the medical team). I wanted my 4th birthing experience to be different. I chose to have an unmedicated birth and knew that having a doula would be such an incredible gift to have during the labor/delivery. From the birth prep session to the labor and delivery, Yvette was attentive and present to all of our needs. She provided such a calming and peaceful presence to the entire experience. She understood our goals and the things we valued most going into labor, like a peaceful God centered room. I trusted Yvette to advocate for me during such a special, vulnerable time. There was a pivotal moment, during the transition phase of my labor that I was so grateful to have Yvette there. In my most intense moments of doubt, Yvette encouraged me and gave me the reminders I needed to keep going. Not only did she encourage me, my husband felt extremely empowered by her words and support. Her wisdom and presence gave both my husband and I the confidence we needed to lean in and fully embrace the beauty of birthing our 4th baby. We appreciated her being there emotionally, but the way she physically stepped in to support me during the pushing process was extremely priceless. We are forever grateful for Yvette and the way she walked alongside side us during the experience. Having her as our doula was one of the best decisions we could have made.

Yvette was a God-send for our family during post-partum recovery for my wife. Our daughter could not have been in better hands. Her vast experience and knowledge of early infant childcare was such a relieving source of calm and comfort during a novel time of chaos and fatigue. I really appreciated how great of a listener Yvette was and no matter how many questions my wife and I asked, she would always answer with such poise and grace. It really felt like my wife and I had an extension of family helping us during the early stages of infancy, and we are forever grateful. Cannot recommend Yvette enough to any family looking for some extra help.

Yvette is an amazing doula and a wonderful, thoughtful, and caring person. Our plans for returning home after the birth of our twin boys did not quite go as envisioned. Our stay in the hospital was longer than expected and we quickly realized we were going to need help at home especially as my wife recovered. We were so fortunate to find Yvette. Yvette was with us from night one of being home from the hospital through transitioning back to work to month 10 when both boys began consistently sleeping through the night. As a new father of twins who did not have much newborn experience, Yvette was ready to be there for our boys and us. I never had a worry that our boys would be okay. Yvette treated them as her own, had our full trust, and was like a family member. She allowed us to rest and recharge for the next day, and she always said, “While I’m here you rest.” Yvette is a baby whisperer as well. She has an uncanny ability to swaddle and helped us with sleep shaping the boys. She also helped us through one boy’s gassy phase and when both boys had their first colds. Each night she was always ready (and patient) to listen about the latest development, assist in the next step, and celebrate milestones together. She not only helped our boys grow but also helped me grow as a parent. I cannot recommend Yvette highly enough.

I cannot say enough great things about Yvette! When we were preparing for our twin boys, we did not plan on having any postpartum help, but delivery complications made it apparent we would need help overnight once we came home from the hospital. Yvette started with our family on our first night home from the hospital and helped us for almost an entire year. She was an amazing guide for helping us establish good sleep habits from the start, which was not an easy task with two infants sharing a twin bassinet/room. She was the master swaddler and had a soothing/calming presence with out boys. She helped my husband and I set up a sleep schedule with suggestions for napping and feeding that resulted in longer overnight sleep intervals. Because she was so helpful with our boys and really understood their needs/personalities, we felt so at ease on the nights she was with us in our home and that enabled us to get the rest we needed. We recently finished working with Yvette, and it felt like we were saying goodbye to a family member. Using a postpartum doula was not a part of our plan, but Yvette was the greatest blessing to our family!

Yvette was our night nurse during the early weeks home with our little one. She was caring with our baby girl, thorough in her recap notes, and super respectful in navigating our home and helping us to maximize our sleep. We would easily recommend her to anyone.

Yvette helped us from the week after we got home from Prentice with our newborn son until he was about 12 weeks old. We had never worked with a night nurse before because our first was born during COVID. Yvette was incredibly supportive of our family in every way. She was so good with the baby and we felt so safe leaving him with her at night. She helped when he had gas and was uncomfortable and when he was fussy and wouldn’t eat. She helped when he only wanted to be held and made sure he got rest. I don’t think my husband or I would have gotten any sleep those first few months without her! Yvette helped me work through pumping and supply issues and never made me feel any pressure about how we fed the baby; she was supportive of breastfeeding/pumping/combo feeding. She was never late (and if she thought she would be, texted to let us know). Yvette helped with bottles and laundry so that the mornings and days were easier. She gave us advice and never made us feel judged when we were having a hard time. She shared stories from raising her three children that helped us feel like our experiences were normal! We are so grateful for the support and care she gave our whole family during that amazing and difficult season of life. I asked my older son what I should add for this review about Yvette and he said, “That we love her.” So that pretty much sums it up!

Words cannot express how amazing Yvette has been throughout my journey with my newborn son. Yvette is so compassionate and caring and is such an amazing listener. I am so thankful for all her support and encouragement and all her wisdom. Yvette’s gentleness and reassurance gave me the confidence that I needed when caring for my baby. Yvette is the real deal. She is so genuine and really loves what she does. She exudes compassion in a way that truly inspires me. I believe that one of Yvette's greatest gifts is her calm, steady spirit-- what every family needs as they welcome new life, along with all of its joys and challenges! Yvette is a listener who seeks to understand and she cares deeply about supporting new moms and their growing families. She is also a highly skilled communicator, which makes her easy to work with and a strong advocate for the families she serves.

Yvette was a lifesaver to our family. She came the first night we brought our little one home and she supported me and my husband through the longs nights and adjusting to parenthood. When I was suddenly taken to the hospital for complications post-partum, Yvette came and made sure our little one was taken care of. We appreciate all the love, thoughtfulness, and care that Yvette poured into our family.
