But first, let me tell you about myself when I am not being an amazing Doula. I am a mother to three wonderful children, 2 girls and one boy. And in my spare time, I love to enjoy a good film with my boyfriend, read a couple of books, and do some writing! My journey to becoming a Doula began during my third child, when I got pregnant the last time I felt a profound sense of freedom, to pursue whatever birthing options I wanted to, I spent countless hours nerding out over the birthing process and realized that I wanted to share that feeling of freedom and confidence with as many mothers as I could. My first two labors and pregnancies to say the least were HORRID. Knowledge is the most powerful resource that we have going through the process of birth and parenthood, knowing what sensations to expect, what experiences you might have in a hospital or birthing room, what it feels like to have your first or second child, and what to expect when returning home. I have personal experience with all of this, and the education to back it. I make it my personal goal to be your partner in making your birth story your own, and not just the one that is handed to you in a packet from a doctor’s office.
