My name is Virginia Parent. I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula located in Venice, Florida. I have been a Doula for the last 4 years serving families from Lakewood Ranch, Myakka city, to Fort Myers. I believe all families deserve to have a supported birth experience. As a mother of 4, I have experienced two hospital births, one which was an induction and a NICU baby; and I have experienced two midwife supported water births. I have formula fed, exclusively pumped, and exclusively breastfed. My large range of personal experience helps me to remind my clients that birth has a wide range of normal and allows me to relate, personally, to clients no matter how they choose to give birth. I am here to help mother's experience a cozy and welcoming journey into their new roles as mothers and as a family. As a postpartum doula I believe in supporting every family through that first year of parenthood. Whether it is for first time parents or for 5th time parents, we all need a helping hand. I pride myself on putting aside my own personal parenting style and helping to assist parents in finding what works best for their family and their lifestyle. I am happy to assist during difficult transitions such as sleep regression, food aversion, and breastfeeding/bottle feeding struggles. I am versed in pumping schedules that can help clients achieve their goals. I am happy to assist in developing routine and schedules or simply reinforcing a 'go-with-the-flow' method. I am here to help parents feel well rested through night nanny work and providing light housework to reduce the household load on the new family. My goal as a postpartum doula is to ensure you are recovering, connecting, and adjusting to your new journey with your newest addition!

Services for Birth Doula include prenatal visits, on-call labor support, 24/7 phone support, and 4th trimester postpartum support. Additionally, I work with a Partner Doula to ensure you always have a Doula available for your needs. You will meet the Partner Doula during visits and have access to both of us throughout your pregnancy. We will provide you with educational information, support for your birth choices, and provide caring hands during your labor experience. For Postpartum Services include packages for sleep support, 4th trimester support, newborn care specialty, and breastfeeding packages. Each package includes educational support for new parents, feeding support such as breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and pumping, light housework such as dishes, laundry, and baby chores. Sleep support and feeding support is tailored for each family providing educational and nonjudgemental support for any choice the family chooses to make.
