About me
Hi, I'm Victoria, also known as VicTheDoula, and I am the proud owner of The Crowned Nest Doula Company. As a dedicated doula, my mission is to support birthing individuals through their unique pregnancy journeys. Primarily, I offer remote doula services via text, calls, and Zoom meetings, ensuring that you have the guidance and support you need from the comfort of your own home. While I may occasionally offer in-person support on a case-by-case basis, my focus is on providing accessible care tailored to your needs. Though I do not have biological children, I am a loving mom of one and a foster/adoptive parent. My passion for becoming a doula stems from my experiences as a queer woman of color, where I have witnessed firsthand how the medical field can sometimes disadvantage women of color. With rising statistics highlighting these disparities, I felt compelled to advocate for those who may feel voiceless. I proudly support all couples and single parents, and my identity within the LGBTQIA+ community brings a unique perspective to my services. At The Crowned Nest Doula Company, I provide comprehensive doula services designed to support you through your pregnancy journey. I am proud to offer all services remotely, utilizing text, calls, and Zoom meetings to ensure that you receive the guidance and support you need, no matter where you are. In special cases, I may be available for in-person support, but this will be discussed and agreed upon on a case-by-case basis. Victoria was my doula for my pregnancy. As my sister I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else besides her to be there with me. Remotely and in person she was an amazing resource. When having complications while laboring doctors were ignoring my concerns. Vic quickly stepped in and had doctors realize something was wrong. Due to her diligence we realized my baby had already passed his meconium and an extra team needed to be present at his birth. I ended up having a c section of 25 hrs of laboring but Vic was right there cheering me on. Her being there for the birth of her nephew was pure magical. Best doula ever.
