I plan to give birth at our local Kaiser in Vallejo, CA. My goal is to have an non-medicated birth and for my partner and myself to be supported by a trained doula during the birth and postpartum journey. My first birth had a lot of obstacles I would like to avoid with the goal of having a better birth experience this time around. I am looking for help with prenatal, birth and postpartum cate. I am a kaiser patient and a bit worried about giving birth with them. Kaiser is great in a lot of ways, but it seems like you need to be a big advocate for yourself, and having assistance with that might be helpful. I think I would be giving birth in Oakland, CA. I would like more information abut epidurals and the birth process, best ways to push to prevent tearing, etc. I am very newly pregnant, but I am interested in chatting with someone about the best way to give birth and how to advocate for myself. Also someone who can provide emotional and physical support throughout the process, personalized care, and improved birth outcomes. Not sure what an average budget for this is, but I figure through the whole process maybe $1,000 or so? I am not sure about my birth plan at this point, but would like to discuss some possibilities!
