I have a high risk of stillborn as well as preterm labor, and am looking for support that can flex if baby Maggie comes earlier than we thought. I am looking for support for myself and my husband as it is our first child, and we weren't even sure if my body would ever support a pregnancy after three losses. I want someone comfortable advocating for me and my needs in the hospital, as I know my husband and I will be very stressed the entire time. I am scared of the cascade of interventions when it is not necessary, and tend to lean more towards the more natural hippy way of doing things, which is limited now due to my risk factors. I am a military spouse and have Tricare Select and am hoping my doula services can be covered through that instead of out of pocket.
