I am pregnant with my first baby and looking for a doula for: (1) birth center ideally (do not want hospital if I can avoid it) (2) I am not sure what doulas typically cost but have a flexible budget (3) I want to work with a doula and midwife ideally (4) birth plan would be ideally at a birth center or not at a hospital, natural birth unmedicated, with the doula in the room with me and my husband (5) I am still learning a lot but this is as far as I have gotten. We live in Redondo Beach, CA and it’s both of our first child

Hello Donna, I’ve just given birth to my baby girl,she came a bit early at 36.3 weeks,this,there is a bit of a struggle with latching,nutrition and weight gain. Have to supplement with a bottle. Having my 3rd, and last, c-section in November and would love the support of a doula to help with recovery and successful lactation.

I will be giving birth in a hospital, I’m not really sure on a budget as I never thought of getting a lactation consultant until it was recommended as I hope to breastfeed. Birth plan No students in the room I want to hold off on the epidural until I feel I need it and I don’t want to be pushed into getting it, I do want to be told when I’m getting to the point of not being able to get it.

Need help latching baby and help with pump flange size and lactation in general

Baby recently started breastfeeding at 4 weeks old. She was formula only due to premature and weight loss issues. Then she received breast milk via bottle and now that she passed her birth weight we began breastfeeding. First a few sessions a day, now solely breastfeeding. My left breast has a strong let down. Baby pulls off, chokes, cries. Milk leaks everywhere. I want to be able to help her.
