About me

Hi, my name is Tara O'Neill, and I'm a certified professional midwife licensed in the state of Michigan. I believe that the role of a midwife is to provide informed, supportive, and attentive care during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. In our practice, we recognize that each person and family is different and work to ensure that the care we provide meets the needs of each individual. We are committed to preserving client autonomy, and to ensuring that each client’s needs are met and that they are truly heard. In my free time, I enjoy spending time exploring the wonderful state of Michigan, reading, and spending time with loved ones.

Service introduction

We offer individualized prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum care for you and your baby through 6 weeks of age. Our excellent birth support services specialize in low-risk natural birth and water birth options. Our healthcare model provides families with the ideal combination of home comforts for the natural birth experience together with the confidence inspired by our Certified Professional Midwives licensed in Michigan. We believe you should be educated and informed throughout your pregnancy to feel empowered at birth, which carries through into parenting. At MI Birth, you can customize your birth experience through education, research and true informed consent and choose what is best for you and your family.

Packages

Standard Package

This package is a Global Fee which includes all prenatal visits, labor, birth and postpartum visits, as well as standard pregnancy labs, waterbirth tub rental and newborn procedures. The Initial non-refundable Deposit of $1000 is required at the first prenatal visit, and the remaining fee($4500) is due by the first day of your 36th week. Discounts available: $250 discount: Full Payment at first prenatal visit

Special Pricing

We believe Homebirth Midwifery should be an option for every family in the community. This package is reserved for one family per month who would otherwise be unable to afford homebirth. This package includes all prenatal visits, labor, birth and postpartum visits, as well as standard pregnancy labs, waterbirth tub rental and newborn procedures. The Initial non-refundable Deposit of $1000 is required at the first prenatal visit, and the remaining fee($2750) is due by the first day of your 36th week.
