Hello my name is  Tanya ,” a responsible, reliable, personable, experienced Postpartum Doula, I received my training through Dona International as a Trained Postpartum Doula. My love and passion for children began when I became a mother of which I am a proud mother of 3 with this experience I learned a lot as I aimed to do my best by my children and those I cared for. Mothers and Fathers, alike, need an extra support system as they adjust to life with a newborn. I have gained knowledge and skills from my years as a parent and as I have assisted many in taking care of newborns, infants, and children. My mission is to assist families in learning how to care for their newborn and enjoy the magical moments which can be very chaotic and full of surprises without the right guidance. I am very passionate about my work because I believe that each baby is a gift from God and the best gifts come in small packages. I am knowledgeable about safety , I also have over 10 years of health and medical experience , experience with preemies, well as I offer overnight support. Qualifications Dona International Trained CPR and first aid certified Sleep training As a postpartum doula I provide a variety of services to help families adjust to life with a new baby, including: Emotional support I provide assistance to new parents adjust to life with a baby and provide a safe space to talk about their experiences. Physical support I provide help with physical recovery after birth, such as providing physical support after a C-section. Newborn care I provide help with newborn care, such as diaper changes, feeding, and soothing. Breastfeeding support I provide breastfeeding knowledge, support, and assistance. Meal Preparation To be discussed Referrals I provide referrals to local resources such as parenting classes, pediatricians, lactation support, and support groups
