Tana Murphy, IBCLC, RLC, PMH-C, LC (CBI) is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant with a focus in navigating perinatal mental health and its impact on lactation. Tana has worked with families for over 20 years, first as a classroom educator and now in a dual role as a lactation consultant at her private practice, Be Nourished Lactation, as well as helping to manage the perinatal services division at a nationally renowned breast pump company. When Tana is not advocating for maternal mental health or guiding parents in their feeding journeys, she can be found cheering on her three kiddos at their sports and STEAM events, exploring local breweries with her husband, or baking delicious treats.

I’m Tana Murphy, a classroom educator turned lactation consultant with a passion for making breastfeeding as breezy as a day at the beach (minus the sand in your toes, of course). Armed with a Bachelor's degree in English & Education, a specialty in tethered oral tissues (TOTs certified), a focus in perinatal mental health (PMH-C trained), and the coveted title of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I'm on a mission to sprinkle a healthy dose of levity into the world of boobs and nipples. When I'm not busy snuggling babies or deciphering the mysteries of lactation, you’ll find me wrangling my own babies (who at 12, 9, and 5 years old, tell me they’re aren’t babies anymore) or falling asleep on the couch (watching the movie I asked to watch…) with my husband of 15 years. My lactation superpower lies in creating a safe space where we can chat about all things breastfeeding and parenthood without judgment.
