Greetings! I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and share some facts about the role of a "Doula" or a "Birth Companion". First of all, you can call me Doula Komla (aka, Tabetha Cunningham). I have approximately 33 years of experience in the Human Services field, but in May of 2021 I answered the call to become a Certified Wholistic Birth Doula. I had the awesome pleasure of studying under Mama Mawusi Ashshakir, founder of The Mothership. What is a doula, you may ask. A doula is a trained companion who supports women through pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, lactation and other postpartum events. This is a huge undertaking for me but I am so excited to share what I've learned and to support women through the birthing process. I am currently offering my services at discounted rates and for a short amount of time I will tailor services to meet your budget. I serve as a Wholistic Birth Doula and am available to begin working with you the moment you discover that you are expecting. I can support you throughout your pregnancy with education, support and tenderness for a happy, relaxing pregnancy.
