Service introduction

As a Birth Documenter of 5 years, my camera has become an extension of my arm. Being able to provide my doula clients with authentic, connected, powerful, and joyful film and images is one of the most fulfilling things about my work. My birth packages are set up to mirror the number of services you select. There are three Birth Services I provide: Doula, Photography, Film.

Frequently asked questions

What if I go into labor before 38 weeks when you are on-call?

If you go into labor before my on-call time of 38 weeks, call me anyway. Although our agreement does not obligate me to come to your birth, if I am available, I will come. If I am not, I will do everything I can to call in an equally trained and skilled backup.

How long will you stay after the baby is born?

Once I arrive, I stay for the remainder of the labor, delivery, and up to 1-2 hours after birth. *Some hospitals have a support persons policy due to COVID-19 that require additional support persons/doulas to leave immediately.

What if you miss the birth?

If I miss the birth due to emergency or causes beyond my control like a quick delivery, or not being notified in time, but arrive within 30 minutes after the birth, I will stay to provide the service we have agreed on, and our agreement will remain in-tact. If I am unable to make it to the birth at all, due to emergency, current hospital restrictions, or other causes beyond my control, every attempt will be made to schedule a replacement Fresh 48 session or another session of your choosing and you will only be held responsible for the full fee of the replacement session.

Do you offer prints?

Currently, I do not offer prints. You will receive digital files to have printed with whomever you choose. I recommend Tempe Camera Imaging.

WITH CURRENT RESTRICTIONS DUE TO COVID-19, WILL THEY LET YOU IN THE HOSPITAL?

Thankfully, most hospitals in the valley have opened their L&D rooms to certified doulas. If you are not sure what your hospital's policy is, check online with your chosen hospital, or call.

Why should I hire you?

• I have experience shooting hospital, birthing center, and home births (medicated and non-medicated). • Each birth story is as unique and special as the baby that comes with it. I care about my clients and do what I can to tailor their photos to match that uniqueness. • I am patient, supportive, and consider birth a sacred experience for all involved, particularly the parents. I prioritize the connection between the parents above all others. • I am dependable and follow through with what I promise. • When you book with me, you're hiring an artist who is passionate about documenting real moments and finding the beauty within them. • My goal for every session is to make it a good experience for mv clients. • I have birthed four children of my own and know how precious and irreplaceable those first moments are. • It's important to me that my clients get what they hoped for when they hired me and will be treated professionally with the communication they would expect.

Where do you live?

I am located in East Mesa, 85209.

Do you charge a travel fee?

For anything greater than a 20 mile radius of my home, a $20 travel fee will be added to your booking.

When do I call you?

If I am providing doula services, keep me updated with any pregnancy changes that you may experience and I will come when you feel you need me. If I am serving you in a documentation capacity, call me when you are admitted to the hospital or birthing center, or whenever you call your midwife for a home birth. You can also ask your doula for her suggestion on when to call me if you're not sure. I will keep in contact with you throughout the months and weeks before your due date so it shouldn't come as a surprise. When in doubt, calling sooner is better than later.
