I have a large fibroid and was told my baby would not turn into correct position, but she turned head-down this week! I also have gestational diabetes that is managed with my diet. Baby has no complications and is in the 50% for growth, right on track. I live in San Andreas, but my OB is in Lodi, I plan to give birth at Lodi Memorial. I only just discovered I won't be having a c-section, so my birth plan is very flexible at the moment (I'm not sure if I want an epidural). I could really use assistance with birth-planning as this is my first time :)

This is my fourth baby. Her latch seemed fine for awhile. When she was around 3 or 4 weeks old, I noticed a lot of pain. I had cracks all around the base of my nipples. I saw a lactation consultant at my hospital and she said my baby has a high palate. She recommended trying breast shields until I heal and then try again with a deeper latch. The breast shields haven't worked so I have been pumping. I let my nipples heal and then tried again with a deeper latch but it happened again and my nipples were in so much pain. My desire is to breastfeed though. I want to see if there's anything I can do to make that happen. I need a lactation consultant to help me figure out if I can nurse again and how to care for my nipples.
